Today on Wristwatch Obsession I talk about the features and do a review on the Seiko Samurai re-issue of 2017. This model is the SRPB51, but the review will pertain to all of the various varieties of the Samurai.
- I forgot to mention that the movement, the Seiko 4R35 has a 41 hour power reserve.

I agree the stock bracelet is well made and wears comfortably.

Great review! If you had to choose only one, would you pick a Samurai or a Turtle?

Thank you.. I like them both, but I much prefer the Samurai, seems not so wide as the turtle / pillow shape, and I like the angles better.

Great video and review! I'm patiently waiting for the FedEx driver to drop off my SRPB51 to me. Will be the 5th Seiko in my modest collection!

Thank you! congrats on getting your new Seiko, it's a nice one to add to your collection. I have 4 Seiko's right now, hoping to add another.. there are so many nice ones coming out I have to decide which one to get. I have the 51 here, the Samurai PADI, a Seiko 5 display back, and a Turtle PADI with amazing blue dial. Thanks for watching!

Thanks! I got the rubber type PU strap from Salzman's Jewelers in Rhode Island that is an authorized retailer of Luminox watches and straps I think it's the only one in the US. They are in the 65 to $75 range and are very comfortable.
