Just received mine from Mimo and I just love it. Thanks to short lug to lug measurement it wears smaller than 44 mm and is quite comfortable. Since I prefer bracelets I had Mimo install a Seiko bracelet and it looks great and is very comfortable. Mimo was great to do business with and with Rob's discount the price was very competitive and the service is as good as it gets. Note: I asked Mimo to pick the watch from his inventory with the best alignment and the one he picked is perfect.
Comparing the Seiko to the Omega, the Seiko’s dial is slightly off-white. It’s a softened effect that on its own you may never notice, but it adds to the character of the watch and makes it less sterile looking, as some white dial watches do.
Hello Mister, I look at your video again and again and every time I am aaaabsolutely excited about the beautiful Seiko King Samurai, the processing, the pointers and the fascinating dial. I am big Fan of you 👍✌ Best regards from 🇭🇷 Beautiful small country Croatia 🙋♂️
Awesome job Rob. I think this is the most exciting of the King releases and all Seiko's under 1K! I also love the new White dial Shogun, OMG its a stunner but not nearly the value prop of this King Samuari
Coolest yes...! I have this watch and I too love white dials on watches... This watch with the polished ceramic bezel and saphire crystal really makes it stand out... Put a DiModel "Jumbo" black band on it and also alternate between that and a Hirsch brown "Liberty" strap... The Di Model is waterproof calf skin so it works with this watch without all the weight... Comes with a very soft and comfortable silicone band but not a fan unless I was actually diving with the watch... Fantastic lume.... Nice review, love the watch...
I just bought this watch. Absolutely love it! I like the sea master, but I hate the escapement on the other side. Watchworks in Cerritos had it in stock along with dozens of other excellent watches, including the Willard!
Sucks about the bezel qc issues. That said, the Strapcode hexad bracelet is awesome! I have it for my older Samurai. Thinking about buying a new one because the case dimensions are identical. ;)
I was on the fence but based on your video, I ordered this model. I love white faces they are plain but match any outfit or occasion. I ordered from Mimo's and used your code. Thanks!
Rob great videos by the way I love them. I just bought this white Samurai and I have to tell you I have never seen a watch so beautiful and mesmerizing as this watch. I know you love your white omega but putting price aside if you showed me these two watches I would pick the Seiko as the nicer watch. And I just got it for $350 plus tax. It looks stunning. Ray
I am guessing the reason why you see more made in Japan version is due to the lock down in Singapore and Malaysia. Even now we are encouraged to work from home and keep the workforce to half at most workplaces. I guess that somehow affects the production of the watches.
Actually spending $350 on this Seiko gets you a $595 watch, while spending $5k on the overpriced & overhyped Omega gets you a $3.8k watch at the moment. Jabber is still trying to pretend that his Omega is a Rolex! 😁😄😂🤣👏👏👏👍
@@compudoc3337 Exactly, plus the Seiko will actually get taken diving, while the sad Omega will only be treated like a desk-diver that NEVER even touches sea water...& dreams about being a Rolex.
It's a natural mineral white. Nice dial. Pressed makes sense. It looks like carved in white porcelain. I usually don't like pressed. But this is a soft touch to a very carved case. The Seiko next to the Omega is a real tryst. Seiko has a higher polish on bezel insert. Better lume for sure. Amazing tank movement. It's got the rocket and it's art. Omega is dated. Seiko is retro.
If you had to choose between this SPB083J1 and SRPE37K1to buy which would you get regardless of the price? I'm stuck between these two and don't know which to get.
Really makes you wonder about the return proposition on the Omega or countless other Swiss watches. Guess they have to pay for their marketing one way or another.
@@LVGRCCrawlers it is!! I been wearing it everyday and i've forgotten about my 5kx hahaa.. i've just ordered the irish coffeee limited edition 1000 pieces presage ssa401j1 i think is the number. Right now im watch the Sarb017 and it looks amazing also!! Im probably gonna try and get my hands on this sarb now beofre the king samuray white dial 😂😂😂
The weird thing about this samurai is the official name of the king turtle from Seiko is the “king turtle”. It’s odd they didn’t give this that official “king” title.
Hi Mister Rob, can you SSD001J1, one wooooonderful, aaaaamazing Chronograph of great Watch Brand Seiko? If you know the watch, you could make a video about it!? I love 🥰🥰 it sooooo much ✌✌ Maybe you happen to know where to buy this beautiful chronograph still? best regards from 🇭🇷
Omega fanboy Jabber did exactly that, he bought ten Omega watches for less than the price of just one of my Paul Newman dial Rolex Daytona investment grade watches.
Just bought using your code. Great vid and thanks for the referral! I just bought a Grand Seiko SBGM221 and I need a daily sports watch while I save for my next big purchase and this watch seems like an incredible value.
I got a king turtle lately and it hasn’t left my wrist since I sized the bracelet. However after seeing this vid I think I want a white king samurai. Your a bad influence Rob 😂
The percentage of the batch that is both JDM good QC and affordable is small. The JDM units are typically selling for one ben more than the Malaysia units. Pay your watch man $100 to fix the alignment issues. Hmm.
@@gundam0816 the funny thing, those who dive to 100m do not wear an automatic, majority of them wear a dive computer like Oceanic, Suunto etc. 300m dive watches are purely for desk diving TBH
Honestly, the Made in Japan is due to a gap in Japanese law. There is honestly no difference between Made in Japan and non Made in Japan. Like the Japanese regulations are more flexible as to what "Made in Japan" means vs the US.
