I have a Seiko with belonged to my father, its 27 years old and still works great!!! Everyday use and no problems at all. It even look very modern, not like it has its age.
Christian, YOU ARE DANGEROUS!!!! I am purchasing the Rose Gold on the Black rubber strap tomorrow. Great job showing the Direct Drive technology. Keep up the great work.
Christian, Thank you for your sharing, work and dedication from all of us U Tube folks!! You have helped mke in MANY of my buying decisions! Best Regards and love this Seiko, off to go get one! GGG 59
After owning a SEIKO Orange Monster for a month now I must agree. The build quality and accuracy is surprising me for $154. Built way better than my Tissot Seastar 1000. We'll see how it stacks up against my ORSA Monstrum when it arrives. SEIKO FTW!!!
The only thing that makes noise when I move it is the movement on the inside....keep in mind if you have a bracelet on yours, that could be making the noise.
That's an oversimplification. Many quality watch brands make quartz watches, and it's a mistake to assume the movements are cheaply made. Sinn and Breitling are just two examples. Quartz movements have their own use, and in fact many pilots prefer them for their accuracy.
I prefer kinetics because you never need to switch out the battery, so you save some money, also I heard when you need to open up the watch to replace the battery, it can compromise the water resistance. You do not have to worry with a kinetic watch cause you dont have to open it up.
I've got a Seiko 5M43. it's around 20 years old... maybe older, and i just started using it! I'm still confused about the AM/PM system... anyone want to help me out? :D
Kinetic is all fine and well, but I wouldn't get it over a decent automatic because the the kinetic has electronic parts in it just like quarts, and it will eventually break. Automatic keeps going and going.
That's your opinion, but it's not necessarily true. I love automatic watches as well, but if accuracy was important above all else I woudn't use an automatic. To say that quartz movements are necessarily cheap or only appeal to those who don't know about watches is snobbery.
@scotfreak hi! I bought this watch at the discounted price of SIN$1,500/- It is very expensive watch and I adore it first time I saw it. So no one can stop me from buying it even though it took my whole savings just simply to get it.
