the game kind of tells you before you fight genichiro that you have to jump and parry, and then attack to reverse it... this does indeed work. however, you can just jump and hold block and no timing is needed, and it still works. just be sure to hit the attack button to return it after you hear the deflect noise.
Honestly speaking, it looks way harder to cheese inner Genichiro than actually fighting him properly. Genichiro (all the versions of him) is the best teacher to all players in Sekiro. If you are not willing to fight him properly and learn what is this game all about, then it is almost no point in playing this game.
PRO TIP: The proper way to do a lightning reversal isn’t clearly stated but it is as follows: 1. Hold block 2. Jump while blocking to catch the lightning (this will effectively block all lightning damage) 3. Release block right before you press attack while airborne. (The reason I say this is because of the mid air combat arts sometimes coming out instead of the reversal attack so make sure you release block to be safe). I don’t have trouble with these bosses so I honestly dunno why I watched this vid, but I did lmao. Cheers and good luck one armed wolves

@@juicybossfights It definitely works it’s just kind of a pain to get the timing down because when you jump there’s like a split second that sekiro has to lower guard and bring it back up. The idea is that because you’re holding it the whole time he should be able to air deflect it so you won’t take damage but still absorb it, like I wanna know how other ppl end up beating bosses…I will cheese demon of hatred tho fuck that guy
Yeah 100%. I don't think any game has better combat mechanics than sekiro. Elden ring is fun, but too easy (for a souls game) for my liking, that said, i still enjoy it a lot.
I could have never thought I would say this but I'm about to quit the game because I cannot beat this dude I've literally beaten everybody else dozens of times everyone I'm not by anybody's opinion bad at this game and yet I swear to God I still cannot beat him I cannot cheese him I cannot get past him dude I just can't
if you've beat normal genichiro, you should be able to do it. his main new move is the sakura dance 3 hit combo which he loves to spam it. its just 2 quick parries, a small pause, then 1 more parry. so 1-2, 1. just keep practicing parrying that till you get it, the rest is normal-ish. I'd advise using the umbrella to parry his arrows and the middle part of his flurry combo.
