I find it surreal that he made it this far without mikiri counter or that he have defeated the bull without the firecracker.

Bit of context on the Buddha statues and flowers/pinwheels for those who don’t know; they represent the life’s of children that were lost, including the Armored Knights’ son Robert, his son was sick and went to the temple hoping the monks could heal him not knowing what would happen to him. It is a really sad place once you know the lore behind it.

I love how different peoples whos first game is Sekiro play than peoples whos first game is elden ring play. I usually just parry every attack I dont think i've ever really dodged in Sekiro and it felt weird to me not being able to parry as much as i could in Elden ring.

Some enemies dodging is find and even good, but the large majority deflect is the way the go. Takes awhile to build the muscle memory, but if you're patient and trust in the process it will be worth it

Elden Ring was my first "souls game". I decided to try Sekerio and I absolutely loved it

I started playing sekiro this week and it is realy good. Glad to see that I was not the only one geting bullid by the bull. Took me some time to understant that I could parry it.

I know i'm a little late to the party, but if those coin purses you won't lose that money when you die.

you lose half your money when you die. Coin purses essentially let you store your money in a consumable item. you lose 10% buying them essentially, but that's once, instead of every death losing 50%

I implore you try and learn to deflect, majority of the posture damage is being lost due to you dodging instead of deflecting

In the ashina outskirts u will find roberts fire crackers its really useful for beasts and giant creatures

Finding as many gourds seeds as you can will drastically help

You're in a harder area. Go where you want, but I suggest going to other areas while you learn the game and improve your gourd, health, skills, etc

BTW just got my 3rd Soulsborne game platinum today. My first that I played and got platinum for was Elden Ring a few Months after release. Then Sekiro about a year ago, took a break after finishing first playthrough and reaching final boss on Shura ending to play Dark Souls. I beat Dark Souls on 2 playthroughs and because of how grindy the platinum was (Yes even more than Sekiros upgrade every prosthetic and obtain every skill) I went back to Sekiro finish what I started and got the platinum a few weeks ago and then went back to Dark Souls. What's funny is that I was stuck on 3rd playthroughs 4 kings for a long time which made up like a week (though I didn't play all day and only like 2 hours at most each day and as anyone who has played Dark Souls will tell you the run back to a lot of bosses are very draining and even with the unlocked shortcut 4 kings is no different as there's a ghost blocking the elevator and although your sword can go through (unless you use transcient curse) you can't. And I heard Demon Souls is even worse. Sorry for the long rant.), but on my 4th it was literal first try. Never even used the shortcut. BTW the reason I needed to beat 4 kings 4 times is because I didn't notice Sifs soul was necessary for 3 of the rare weapons for the trophy until my 3rd playthrough which is also when I started to use the souls for weapons and not leveling up. Like Elden Ring is the easiest to Platinum of the 3 as both the 2nd and 3rd playthroughs for all 3 endings went by quickly. Sekiro is also easy, but just takes time by levelling up and farming materials. Any subsequent playthrough is just as easy if not easier than the first because of how combat works. Meanwhile Dark Souls feels like they made an amazing bouquet of flowers as a game, but when they made trophies they dropped a cactus in there that would magnetically enter your asshole if you went for it. The rare weapons are a pain in the ass, You need to max level every kind of weapon, you need to find and enter every covenant (one of them requiring level 25 faith and as I'm not a faith based character I needed to grind for hours), you need to get every sorcery, every pyromancy and every miracle some requiring you to rank up in covenants. I love Dark Souls, but hate the trophies. Like you need to actually 100% everything in the game. I'm just happy there wasn't a trophy for getting level 99 on everything.

Sup big brother, in case you dont know, enemies in Sekiro have Amnesia, if things heat up, you can flee to take your time and try different strategies.. specially when multiple enemies show up. Keep up the great job!!

This game made me feel like it was demons souls 2009 all over i fell inlove with this game and the combat so hard and i couldnt even enjoybthe full ckmbat because my deflect button only worked sometimes 😂 but i ended up making my own style to deal with bosses that felt even cooler to do because i would basically just try and beat them in a straight up fire fight with speed and a lot of floating slash

Mikiri counter is needed

Tip for future bull fighters: take some fire reduction/negations items (like the red gourd or the consumables that get rid of flame buildup) and deflect the bull's charges and attacks. As long as you're decent at deflecting, the chip damage you'll take is minimal, and the consumables will stop you from starting on fire as long as you keep your eye on the buildup bar. With this, the fight goes by wayyyy quicker, and is also less boring since you don't have to kite the whole boss with attacks sprinkled in

You need mikiri to finish the game, get it and get used to it so you don't suffer. Also finish ashina Castle first it has so many prayer beads that you would want and the main boss thier will make sure you play the game properly.

You buy coin purses in this game so you can keep money on you that you wont lose upon death. Farm up sen, buy coin purses, then you can fight whatever boss you want and not worry about losing your sen! When you want to spend some money, sell them to the merchant and buy whatever you want.

The difference between Elden Ring players first time in Sekiro and Dark Souls player in Sekiro is immense. Dark Souls teaches you to look for hidden mechanics - while Elden Ring doesn't.
