FILM DESCRIPTION:
In this biographical drama, Selena Quintanilla (Jennifer Lopez) is born into a musical Mexican-American family in Texas. Her father, Abraham (Edward James Olmos), realizes that his young daughter is talented and begins performing with her at small venues. She finds success and falls for her guitarist, Chris Perez (Jon Seda), who draws the ire of her father. Seeking mainstream stardom, Selena begins recording an English-language album which, tragically, she would never complete.

The actor who played Chris actually went to live with Selena's husband and spend time with him. He said he saw little stickers Selena put in the bathroom that said "Chris and Selena".

Glorylee Schelmetty The actor has talked about it in interviews. He said he found a post stick in Chris’s bathroom sink & written on it was “Selena + Chris Forever” or something along those lines. He asked Chris what that was about. Chris told him that Selena would often write him little love notes on post sticks for him to find every morning. The very last note she wrote was the morning she was murdered. Chris never took it off the sink till he decided to move out of that house. John Seda (Chris Perez in the movie) said he was very taken back by it because making the movie it was easy to forget that Selena had passed away. It was those small moments during the filming of the movie like the post sticks that reminded him “Oh wait I’m only here because Selena is gone.. “ & it just put a massive knot in their throats.

I bet when the real Chris Perez saw this scene with Selena's family they probably all broke down crying due to the accuracy of their relationship portrayed on screen from an emotional perspective in how the actors spoke their lines and the authenticity they brought to making that bond feel as realistic as possible as to how it was in real-life for the Quintanilla and Perez families.

It's was also like that with Otto Frank back in the 50's when they made the first Anne Frank movie he would cry often on set it was so sad. It's got to be so surreal to loose some one and to have it portrayed in a film. Selenas own husband Chris couldn't watch it until a year or so ago.

@@baggergurl16 Sadly Selena's father again, is being controlling. I doubt they'll tell the full truth, people even say abraham wanted to keep stuff out of this move that made him or selena look bad, but the director told him it had to be in it because it's what actually happend, now that he and the rest of the family is pretty much in control of the series, they'll probably twist the truth and it wont be accurate.

My husband and I just got married 4 months ago. Before we got married, he told me how he feels about me he feels like a new person. Back then he was not himself, he hides his emotions and has been a loner as long as he remembered he does have friends to talk to, but sometimes he wants his alone time. Now that I’m in his life he’s feels a lot better he would express his loving words he promise that he would be the best husband and protector he don’t want to lose me he’s fully committed and I’m grateful to hear that from him I made my promise as well. Now that we’re married we stick together for our journey making wonderful memories.

Selena was BOTH. She was LUCKY AND BLESSED. Think about it...look how far she made it. Remember what her mom said... “Tejano music are all MEN. WOMEN are NOT successful.” And look what happened. She was the FIRST FEMALE to make it. It was hard and they struggled. Music was their only way of survival. Living on Big Bertha and She gave up her normal childhood like school and stuff just to get here. She was lucky to have support from her family, Chris, and her fans as she was still gaining more of them. She was blessed to have a voice like that and her charisma that she never knew would take her this far. Plus all the support and love she had from her fans.

Beautifully Said ☺️ I can relate to her so much! God made her for a reason To teach all of us a lesson! She Shows me that That no matter what life throws at you! You have to Keep Going & Be thankful & Grateful.
