I saw her live twice in 1994 and in feb 1995. She was murdered in March 1995. It was the same show in this last concert. She blow the roof off the place. We got goosebumps watching her sing and dance We knew we were watching a once in a lifetime time talent. We were excited for her future. If she maded so did we. It still hurts.
So many gringos had the privilege to see her live. All ethnicities in texas new of her while she was alive due to the tejano awards and fell in love with her.
@@julesPal100 I would loved to have seen her here in Philadelphia. I would've paid to see her to perform live. She would've been bigger than she already was if she lived. She had it all!
I guess depending on where you live you hear her more. We live in Central Texas and she still has a huge following. Kids 4 and 5 years old know who she is.
Whenever I hear Selena's Music , I always Cry ! I'm a 70 year old Gringo Male and I LOVED HER and Miss Her ! There will never be another Selena Queen of the Tejano Music Forever !
Aww. Me too. When she died I was 15 and I still cry when her songs play. There’s something very special about Selena. She was such a beautiful soul. ❤️
gamma rays Technically this was her second to last Concert. Her official last concert was in Bryan Texas but I don’t remember the actual date. It was either March 19th or March 26th 1995
Makes me so sad everytime I see this because she only lived a few days over a month after this. She played this concert on feb 25th and died March 31st. Poor Selena. She had her whole life ahead of her. I saw her husband in a video at an event for her and he looked like he just wanted to run away from the pain, it was just all over his face. Her family and her hubby just live daily in their grief. It’s just so sad. All the way around.
I dont think that chris loved her that much. He ended up marrying somebody else right after her death. If you love someone that much. You don't marry someone else.
Fay Solis kinda insensitive but okay.... chris has said multiple times that he still sees selena as his wife and won’t ever love anyone the way he loved her ever again
I was going to New Mexico and Texas that summer and was hoping to seeing her in concert. I remember where I was when I heard she was killed, in a bar in eastern Washington. The news came over the TV calling her the "Mexican Madonna", none of my friends had any idea who she was, I just walked out...stunned and saddened.
She had such a fluid style. From this particular gringo, I agree with the other gringo. I'd have loved to see her perform. What a beautiful soul. Thank you for the music while you were around, Selena.
Awww Everytime I see her live I get a little sad she is not here anymore and her spirit just shines through when she is on stage, gone but never forgotten ❤️❤️
I know that you have A new love Nevertheless I wish you all the best If in me you didn't find Happiness Perhaps someone else Will give it to you Like the flower (like the flower) With so much love (with so much love) That you gave it to me Shriveled I´m leaving today I know to lose But oh How it hurts me Oh How it hurts me You can't imagine how it hurts To lose your love With your goodbye you took My heart I don't know if it will be able To love again Because I gave you all the love That I could give Like the flower
How I interpret the chorus, "Like the flower (like the flower) With so much love (with so much love) That you gave me, It withered Today I wither I know how to lose, But Ahhhh aaaah ayy, It really hurts."
I was there!!! I was her BIGGEST fan! I was in the 4th grade. I’m from Houston. my elementary school was sooo Mexican, we’d listen to the Spanish Tejano station when the teacher (white lady) would allow us radio privileges. When she died, the whole classroom heard the news together and we ALL started crying. Even the teacher! I just took my daughter to the Selena Museum in Corpus this past spring break before the covid 19 lockdown. She LOVES her too. RIP to my idol
Thank you so much for supporting the Queen of Tejano ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥳🎤👄🎤🎤! She's my idol ❤️ 😍. I was 5 when she passed away and I promised myself I'd go see her one day and visit her museum, her grave, and even pass by the home she had.... Well that happened this summer 🙌. Thank you so much sir! Love from West Texas 💙😍❤️
I literally cry every time I watch her. I grew up w her. Her death literally traumatized me. She is my idol. And this was her last performance. I'm in tears.
This song will always be my number fav song from Selena❤️ And it makes me cry every time I hear this song cuz this was the last song that she sung before she passed away😔 Always in our hearts forever and always🌺❤️🙏🏾
I've always been a HUGH fan of Selena, every time I see the movie, I cry at the end..I don't know any Spanish but I can still sing along with her on her songs, like this one
She makes me proud to be Texan! My daughter was born in 1997 and grew up a HUGE Selena fan. She made her daddy buy her this concert on DVD. She went to visit my hometown of Corpus Christi at 7 with my parents and wanted to see two things, the beach...and Selena’s grave. I hate that such a BRIGHT LIGHT was taken from us WAY too early. I know she lived in Corpus Christi(and slain), but was born in Lake Jackson, TX. Corpus, as locals say it, is a beautiful place that I hate to have had such a TRAVESTY to have occurred there. I cried watching this reaction, remembering this is one of her last performances. Rest In Peace, sweet Texas 🌹 #GoneTooSoon
This woman was honestly the most beautiful living creature I had ever laid eyes on. Even though I couldn't understand her lyrics, her voice was just so amazing and beautiful. I was only 8 years old when she died but I still cried like a child losing their mother. This was her last concert.
You HAVE TO watch her singing Bidi Bidi Bom Bom at the 1994 Premios Furia Musical. She KILLED that performance and looked so beautiful that night. Watch it and let us see your reaction. You’ll love her peformance.
The queen of Tejano. I remember this day and how electrifying and and so beautiful it was. I was at this concert one of the best , she broke record attendance that night she will forever live in my hart.
Jamel: from all the opinions and reactions I really like yours the most , you talk about the feeling , the passion , the amazing voices , what the artist gives the people as a whole, the personality the capacity of how great performers they are and how the audiences are gravitating towards them , the mutual love . Most of others what to show their musical knowledge with what keys there playing, if it’s a baritone or tenor. This artist are for the regular people she’s one of us , came from humble beginnings .They are not Pavarotti , Maria Callas, or placido Domingo.. Thank you for addressing Some person background of the artist. Your face expression say all that we all feel. Kuddos to your channel !!! 🎤🎼🎧💃📀. SELENA THE QUUEN OF TEX / MEX🌹💜💫🌟👆🏻 Mercedes 🇨🇴👑
Me too hehe I have this concert on DVD both the old original copy and the new one they released a couple years back, and I really enjoyed Jamals reaction the best, even though I've seen this concert like 1000x and know every word, he made me cry just the way he felt her spirit and actually researched the lyrics first before watching.... He gave me goosebumps just rewatching my queen with him lol
I was so honored to see her in concert 4 times. And every time I was speechless Couldn’t take my eyes off of her. Beautiful soul. That was not her last concert btw. I believed her last concert was in Chicago 2 weeks before she was murdered.
I literally got chills as soon as she started singing and I listen to her all the time! This woman was perfection inside out. I don’t even speak Spanish and I listen to and sing her songs!
She was a gift from above. Heaven, sadly, needed their angel back. We were so blessed to have her grace us. The biggest heart and most beautiful voice. I mean no disrespect to her memory.
I just wanted to share something with you all. Selena was one natural singer and seeing her in concert here in El Paso, Texas was amazing. I have nothing against JLO but if Selena Quintanilla Perez would have been alive to this day, there would be no JLO to top her. Selena was one in a million singer with lots of talent and there will be nobody to get close to her in the Tejano Industry. Her cross over music would of been excellent and #1 just like her Tejano music. I think many other singers would of want to do duets with her because she would of been big in Hollywood.
She will forever and always give me chills. I LOVE selena and have loved her since I was 5 I’m 20 now and that love with never go away. The way she belts anything out so effortlessly too. I love como la flor and watching this made me tear up and I had chills the entire time! Please keep doing reaction videos of sel💜
I had the honor of seeing this concert in person I was 16 years old at the time!!! Selena was amazing, and always will be missed one of the greatest entertainer of all time !!#QUEENOFTEJANO
🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹My heart is full of happiness when our 7 year old daughter sings her music! Selena is an icon in Latino culture. Thank you for learning about our Selena 🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹🙏🏽🙌🏽
Most of my family is Russian but let me tell you that every one of them adores Selena. Her beauty, energy and talent is universal. The fact that she's remembered throughout the world is incredibly beautiful❤️
Selena was our Mexican Queen. Taking from us too early. She was beautiful inside and out ❤️♥️♥️♥️♥️ R.I.P. Selena Love love this video. Thank you for sharing.
Love your last Selena video(disco at Texas Astrodome) I had to watch another impression video. Those first few notes ... are shear perfection. I get the tingles every time. RIP our beautiful sister Selena . You are missed so very much.
From her last performance, the 1994 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo in the Astrodome. You can't even imagine how popular she was, absolutely at the top of her game. A shining star taken from us all.
I love Selena since I am 13 years ..... now I am 35 and my children have to listen to these beautiful songs ..... they always the best stay for me ..... many greetings from Germany😉😉😉😉
I'm from Corpus Christi, TX and The Rose Festival (Fiesta de la Flor) is an annual thing there, just celebrating her life with her music and live bands cover her music, people wear her ICONIC outfits, and she will always be the QUEEN!! . I highly recommend "No Me Queda Mas" (I Have No More), like it's literally my favorite song of hers, one of the most beautiful heartbreak songs, especially when you translate the lyrics.
RIP Selena, RIP Don. They are up there ripping it up together I'm sure. Selena left us with a lot of great memories ♥ More Selena reactions please. There are plenty of fun performances, can't wait to see you react to more
Jamal, this was the last concert she had, she died a few days later. At the end of this video she said thank you all and see you soon 💔 she really was taken way too soon. Thanks for your reaction, we Mexicans love her!
Apolonia Tanorita, Selena had another concert at a club shortly after this concert and everyone said it was a standing room only crowd, no dancing what so ever, there was no room. My friend said she performed and looked beautiful as always. The night of her death, that same club held a candle light vigil, such a sad night. We attempted to go in but there were people already outside in overflow. We instead went to a Mexican restaurant where all you could hear were sniffles as people young and old, men and women were so sad and crying to her songs the juke box was playing. Rest In Peace Selena and Don. ❤️❤️
I am living for all of your videos on reactions to her concert💕🤘🏻😭🥰 If you think she has moves in the song you definitely need to buy this concert on DVD I think it’s on Amazon my fam and I watch this at least every other month💕💕💕🎼💓 Will always give us life👑 Selena Para Siempre 🤘🏻
Just came across your channel, and I love your videos! Selena was definitely one of a kind. The performances you should listen to are from the "Selens 'Live!'" CD! That's what won her the Grammy ... and it's easy to see why. She was a hero, a role model, and is now and forever a legend!
Delilah Baybiie Yeah shes been singing it every other night in concert for 3 years straight.. She was SICK of it but AB convinced her to keep singing it because it was her #1 hit & it’s what most people looked forward listening to in concert. But it was definite that once she had completed the English album and another Spanish album she was gonna be retiring “Como La Flor” for a long while. AB said she was anxiously ready for him to write her new material to perform
damnbro it was a amazing the way she got you into the grove, you feelin it all the wayinto the core I can tell you that. Hey there is a song from Jaun Gabriel en vivo it is called Debo hacerlo. That performence from El palacio de Bellas artes pictures the whole scensce of the artist, the performer, the great Juan Gabriel. Look for it man you are going to love it. Peace bro.
Being Mexican-American and a Texan, Selena was a part of my childhood! I remember running around as a little kid asking my aunt to do the Selena bun to our hair. So I’ve been listening to her songs since I was old enough to have memories
