Great video, left out one detail if the paper you peel off to expose the adhesive has arrows on them....make sure you lay the vinyl down with the arrows pointing the same direction after you pull the paper off. makes the print of the vinyl look more uniform. if no arrows are on the paper then it doesn't matter.

I like the look of the beveled edge and how it maintains that realistic look of individual tiles but I don't like the look of grout. Is there any long term problem with leaving these butted together with no grout. My thought is that the long canal lines formed from the bevels meeting are a place where water can settle and seep under the tile over time if you wash your floor allot. Any ideas on this?
These don't have to be grouted, and honestly I don't know how the grout would hold up over time. If you wash this floor with a heavy mop like you would do to a traditional tile floor, then yes, the water will get under these and destroy it. I would suggest cleaning it with a swiffer style mop instead. One with a spray cleaner so that water doesn't pool.
In the end I did have to add adhesive to 2 tiles and use weights on them. I believe that the subfloor was a little warped and that is what was causing the problem.
Mop & Glow... (at walmart)... I used to professionally clean houses... I was taught this trick... After using Mop & Glow... DO NOT put hot water or soap down on the floor.. The hot water is what leaves a dull image. just clean with damp rag... or a damp sponge mop... I then apply another layer of M & G. I am refurbishing a vintage 1972 travel trailer...and will bring the 47 year old floor back to life with Mop & Glow... it takes about 4 to 5 coats...
Is there any problem with laying these type tiles over sheet vinyl and adding a thin layer of general purpose floor adhesive? Perhaps even running a random orbit sander over the old vinyl to get a better grip ?

The 2 tiles that were sticking up. You said the roller would correct them, but you never showed us the result of using the roller on them. Disappointed.
No, it will not. There is a new vinyl plank flooring that locks together that has a pvc base, I think, that is very rigid and is make to be able to go over tile. I have seen it install recently and it does what it is supposed to do. It was from a major flooring manufacturer, but I forget which one. Sorry. Hopefully that helps. Check with your independent flooring stores and they will be able to help you. Skip over the big box stores for this project.
I put the same tile's in our bathroom! Was a fun and easy project and now I want to do the whole kitchen, hallway and my hubby's like 'oh boy,...here we go! LOL! I love the feeling of doing something yourself, especially when it comes out good! Our floor has been down at least 6-7 yrs? Still like brand new!

I removed carpet that had been installed with adhesive over linoleum. I plan to install lauan over the linoleum and then peel and stick tiles over that. Does that sound like a good plan?

I plan on redoing my bathroom floor using this kind of tile. I'm removing the old time and the floor is wood. Do I need to and the floor before putting the new tile on?
Having a clean and undamaged surface to adhere to is key to the floor staying put. If these tile do not stick well at first, they will come up and you will hate it. Without seeing it I can't tell how good and clean that your subfloor is. It is possible that getting everything clean and applying a primer would be ok, but it is also possible that a new underlayment is required.
That just really depends on how good the osb surface is. Is it clean and smooth? And when I say smooth I mean free of defects. Some osb has a slick side which is not designed to be glued to. The proper underlayment for this is smooth, clean, and has a dull surface. This flooring is very particular and if it doesn't have the right surface to adhere to then the tiles will come loose.
