Thank you for actually picking this on camera and holding them close to the camera. I’ve been looking for a video showing at what point to pick it. Thank you!
You probably do have it. I just made some tea...I mixed regular black tea with it. It is good for diarrhea.... I made some for someone else and am drinking some left over of it. It makes a good cup of tea.
Does self-heal have a square stem like a mint plant. It is amazing what fresh air can do for the body. That is one thing I do not understand about the this covid situation. They say stay at home, don't go to the beach, don't go walking on a trail, etc., a lot of don'ts, Do wear a mask. A mask limits your oxygen intake and I would imagine when you exhale and then inhale you would be inhaling some of the co2 that you just exhaled. Limiting your oxygen slows down the immune system. Go figure the reasoning behind that.
Yes, self-heal does have a square stem. On the masks...I have heard from several honest doctors that the masks do NOT help either. Only a N-95 might do what they are wanting...but like you said, I think these coverings they are wearing causes more harm than good...and being in the sun and fresh air kills viruses...kind of interesting that Pelosi and them say don't go to church or big gatherings...yet I saw her out walking with hundreds of protesters...I guess their virus doesn't hang around the protesters....lol glad you are a person who thinks for herself. 😉
@@gailsgardenherbsmore1605 I have worn a mask 2 times. I had to go to the hospital twice to have some tests done. Have you ever listened to Dr. John Bergman on youtube?
I keep calling it heal all It works great as a ground cover Perfect example of show me your weeds :) It tastes nice as a tea Pretty flowers growing in all sorts of environments I was paying good money for chinese herbs and this was one ingredient I don't use it much now but i should cuz its over all good herb tonic Nice information I don't have it much in my yard but my neighbor has it behind me and they don't mind me in the back property line picking herbs ;)
@@gailsgardenherbsmore1605 tea sounds nice i noticed the neighbours leaves were perfect tea leaves and the dew is dry now not too hot lol...i will take a short video of the plant just in leaf form when i pick some...it took my a little while to know it without flowers they are pretty Is it bugleweed something like that for a relative with showy blue flowers and a dark leaf All in the mint family i believe with square stems
I know this video is 4yrs old but i am obsessed with self heal. I bought some seeds and i dont know when to put the seeds in ground, i am in maine 5a zone, some say plany seeds in fall and others say winter..please help lol
One of the things Prunella Vulgaris does is fight inflammation. Often there are digestive issues because the gut is inflamed. So, in that instance it might help.
I pick the flowers and leaves and dry them in a hanging dryer. I can use it for tea or I can make an extraction in oil and rub the oil on or make a salve from the oil to use on my skin.
You can use all tinctures topically...the alcohol dissipates in air and leaves the properties. You can use fresh or dried material in tinctures, you use less dried material than fresh. Lotsa tutorials online...fairly easy but you gotta shake it daily for 2-4 weeks.
It would make a good ground cover...mostly, I find it growing within peoples grass and around yards ...probably grows along creek banks etc. It is very, very common. I saw it around for years before I knew what a good herb it is.
