You don't need additional dispensers to regrow the nylium blocks. If you push all the nylium blocks up one block with pistons so that the dispensers are pointing right into them, and activate all the dispensers once, the nylium will be bonemealed. This probably makes shroomlight the best light source in the game because its fully automatic and infinitely renewable. Please correct me if I am wrong, but looking on the light page of the wiki, brown mushrooms are the only other light source with these capabilities (at least in java), except brown mushrooms only have a light level of 1, where shroomlights have a light level of 15, the maximum. It's a game changer not just for wood, but for light sources too! Edit: The only thing is that you don't get too many shroomlights, but then again, it's automatic, so you can be doing other things while it's running. Edit (again): After reading replies to this comment, I'd like to make the clarification that shroomlight would at least be the best light source for me, because I don't need any more than 130 an hour.
@Kaiwala

@squilliam6001
@squilliam6001 4 года назад
@AUSTIN SCOTT The point is not just that a light source is renewable, but also that it's fully automatic, with no crafting required. It just depends on how much lighting you need in a given amount of time. Personally, I'm not going around placing 130 light sources every hour, because I'm doing other things. This amount of light might not be enough for you, though, and especially not for a place like SciCraft, but at least it's nice to have this being made along with the wood. It might be a good investment to make enough of these so it is sustainable, and you would never have to craft light sources ever again, unless they're meant to be decorative.

Seems like a great farm but quite grand, as usual. Having a complex flying machine makes it resource heavy and somewhat slow. Having several potential tree spawn locations might save on some bonemeal, but wastes both bonemeal and time when growing vines occur. I believe a single base block can simplify the whole concept. Just watched Ray's video on this matter, and I strongly recommend it to anyone interested in farming logs this way in 1.16. Ilmango, can't wait to see v2.

You can actually achieve this for any tree, if you plug this to a bone meal farm. One that is based on cactus or bamboo. You use a cactus farm or bamboo farm to produce bone meal, it is very (may be too) efficient.

You could detect if you grew the vines by having observers facing downwards higher than the tree can grow, waiting for the vines to get to them, and then knowing that the wall isn’t necessary.

How hard would it be to make a tnt efficient farm for one of these trees? Even if it's not a fully automatic one like this so you have to hold down right click? I would like to have a farm for these trees that I don't have to duplicate tnt for but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. Like have a way to hook up to the blast chamber.

There's a slight issue with the tnt dropper. At 4:19 you can see that items falling from the previous explosion are moving slower than the next falling tnt, and they are blown up / deleted in mid air.

I have idea: A villager breeder where there is a bunch of beds and composters with farmland and at night a zombie will scare off any villagers that are still awake (new villagers without beds) and send them to a chamber with a trapdoor that only opens if a villager is adult then sends them to a storage to be requested by the player. The storage would also have an adult only system. The chamber would use water and a piston to stop other villagers getting in. In the storage, when a villager is requested, a villager will be sent to an area via mine cart. Then his mine cart would be broken by cactus then scared by zombie into adult only trapdoor then player can choose what to do with him

Question that could possibly break the tree detection: is it possible for a bone meal to enter the detecting hopper tick-perfect to when the used bone meal flows out, causing the hopper to remain full for each tick and thus no tree is detected even though a tree grew? This would probably require exactly 1 tree to grow, with it growing on the first bonemeal attempt. If it’s possible, it’s extremely unlikely, but i just want to know if it’s possible

Just wondering based on the piston wall, did you intentionally not use honey blocks, or did you forget about it since it’s pretty new. If you chose to not use it, why? Looking at it it seems it would be simpler to have a flat wall using honey flying machines as well.
