Thanks George I find that EAB does not always provide a solid anchor. You can get the athlete to contract their muscle to mitigate the issue of encircling the muscle which you mentioned. That is a valid point and something that should be taken into consideration. Regarding your comment about the direction of tape I personally don’t like pulling the knee into an internally rotated position as this is a dangerous position for the knee and something I personally like to avoid. Thanks for your comment
Hi the brown tape is a rigid sports tape the actual brand is Maxiplast but I think this is an Australian brand. A more global brand would be Leuko. Hope this helps
Thanks, it is best to only use this taping technique for the game or training itself if your needing more day to day support a hinged knee brace may be better depending on the injury
Hey Ahmed Abraham this is a taping technique you can use to play soccer with. Depending on the severity of your MCL strain and subsequent knee stability will determine if you can return to sport
@@BodyFitPhysiotherapy thanks Dr .... I've third degree of mcl injury. My first injury was 2015 then it healed then at 2016 it injured again after that it wasn't stable it was dislocating sometimes without causing pain untill before 1month it severely dislocated. I've visited a doctor sometime ago and he told me i need surgery, but i didn't inter the surgery yet. So whats your advise doctor? Thanks.
Ahmed Abraham it sounds like there could be some additional things going on inside your knee and it might not be an isolated MCL injury. It is best to take your local medical advice as they can assess your knee appropriately and determine the significance of your knee injury. Sorry I can’t help further
