Hi-i watched all 3 diagnosis videos. I could have degenerative or SI pain based on these as these 2 videos elicited pain. My back pain is bilateral right on top of the dimples/bony spots on each side. Pain when walking, sleeping and sitting. Not really when standing still. But here is my main question: when I push hard on these bony spots/dimples and i walk or twist this vastly improves my pain. (if i push on the sides of my pelvis no improvement)
PLEASE HELP ME !! Iv been suffering with this SI joint pain for 2yrs now. Iv been to two different Doctors who both done a very minimal examination. The first Dr told me there was nothing wrong with me and the second Dr sent me for an xray and that came back normal aparently but yet im still in so much pain every minute of the day! What can I do to get a better diagnosis or treatment?!
Sorry for the late response, Tinaka. I hope you're not still dealing with this... but if you are, here's my advice: find a PT or chiropractor who specializes in helping people with SI joint pain. Your primary doctor probably won't be much help. Let me know if you have more questions :-)
Hi I was told I have SI pain from my doctor. I bent down this morning doing my stretches and heard a crack on my back while stretching then all of a sudden I felt pain. It hurts to stand and walk. No shooting pain in my legs. What does this sound like? This all happened today, my job requires me to be physical. I am hoping this isn’t permanent.
If your pain is well localized to one of your SI joints, then it’s quite possible that’s the cause of your pain. I recommend finding a PT who’s skilled with helping people with SIJ pain. Pelvic floor PTs are often great with this type of pain 👍
my pain was in both dimples fir about a year. dr thinks its si and not stenosis even tho the mri caught that. my pain only comes from sitting. and standing seems unstable, putting tension in my knees.. thx
Thank you for your video my CT scan is showing L4/L5 SI my osteo therapist was scratching his head wondering why my pain isn't corresponding with the disk bulges. Ive have been to see quite a few specialists but not getting any where, I'm at the 5 month mark now and pain is still reaching level 10 especially if i try to sit. I also have intense pins and needles in both legs just in the calves. Pain is relieved a little bending forwards. Any advice please Thank you Lynda
Hi, Lynda. Sorry for the delayed response... it's a little tough to offer advice without taking a look at you. What part of the country do you live in? If you're not close to us, maybe I can recommend a PT in your area who specializes in treating low back and SI joint pain. Feel free to email me at Luke@GordonPhysicalTherapy.com if you'd prefer :-)
My pain is exactly as you described. It starts in that same lower back and travels only to the upper half of the buttocks. However, I wouldn't describe it as pain or shooting pain. It's more of an aching feeling or an annoyance that doesn't go away. In your experience, would this still fall under SI joint pain? I appreciate your response !
Hi, Brian. Yes, that does sound like SI joint pain to me. You'll want to rule out a disc bulge as well, but it's not real likely. Have you gotten any treatment yet?
@@GordonPhysicalTherapy no, it's localized in the right buttock and sometimes it goes down to the hamstring. It worsen if I'm seated for long time and when I sleep on the right side.
@@laserpez that's good to hear! I would still perform the 3 exercises for a bulging disc, just in case you have a disc issue and it's improving. Are you familiar with those 3 exercises? Here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PkpiJLoHlG0.html
