Personally, I’ve always been of the opinion that just because something is free, doesn’t mean it’s for you. If there’s desperation there, then take what you’re given. I bet she’d rather she spend the money she has, and invest in the one she loves, rather than settling with something she hates and then making do on her wedding day with drastic alterations 🤷🏼‍♀️ (sorry that’s so convoluted 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m struggling to put what I mean into words!)

If you have to redesign and alter a dress it's not the dress you really want even if it's free...

More or less second hand. Sometimes it's a dress that was worn at the seller's/owner's wedding; and sometimes it's been never worn- when plans changed and the couple eloped after all. At any rate, good as new (or actually new as in, never worn); and at a serious discount. Great for a shoestring budget! 😊👍

Why would she do that? I don't have any tattoos myself but I guess that if someone gets a tatoo in their arm, it's because they'd like to show it. And why not, besides there's nothing wrong with showing your tattoo with your wedding dress. Not every bride has to fit the typical bridal cliché. It's perfecly fine if that's what a bride likes and wants, but lets' not force it into everyone. Also covering a tatoo like that with makeup, I don't think is feasible. It would take quite a long time with several steps, it's not just putting some foundation on. It would need constant retouches. And because makeup is never completely transfer proof it's going to end all over the dress. And it's not going to look good anyway to start with. This is the kind of thing it's done for a movie or for a photo shoot because on camera you can get away with it, but in person it's not going to work.
