Sell on gumtree. I've been offered 1/3 of what the store sells them for, but the bright side is, they will buy dozens at a time. So it's good for a bulk payment. That being said, I've had people buy a considerable amount of fish off me in one sitting, privately.

A great way is to give them a price menu. 30% of their cost is a good price imo. You could always adjust and make things a little cheaper, for example with congo tetras, where im from they sell for more than most fish, yet I sell them for only about 15% of what petshops ask. This is bcs they are a schooling fish, & have hundreds and hundreds of eggs per spawn, so high quantity x a low price = the same profit as lower quantity x high price. Play around with prices and work out what you need to make to break even. Then don’t sell for less- after all, your fish get worth more the bigger they get- so you could always sell breeding pairs or groups later on for more! Aquarium Co-op has a 5 part(might be 6 or 7) series that goes into depth on everythibg uou need to know about approach and procing
