Completely understand Tom, here's to the future 🥂💯. Selling cars at buying new ones are part of the business but also the enjoyment. You've got the support of many just like me 👍🏾
Love the no nonsense, honest approach to your content. You're obviously very successful and own a lot of luxury items but don't come across as bragging. The same goes for your brother James. Respect.
Love how open and honest you are. This has been one of the good ones but you will be on to bigger and better I’m sure. It’s your choice, you have had your fun and lost nothing. Win win
Tom - Your doing extremely well with your resales. I understand if you sell to a private client who will pay you list, happy days! Not always easy or safe. Whilst a broker would want to take their SOR pound of flesh . & a garage is likely to pay you 20k less than list on a cheque for that car. What’s your secret? As in this market it’s extremely difficult to get your money back on any new car purchase? Info in your next video please.
I get the point that if you didnt spec it.. is less special, easy come easy go.. but the 911 turbo s is a phenomenal piece of engineering.. glad your specing one.. thinking of selling my 992 c2s for a turbo s.. wonder what colour you pick ?
Smashing it again Tom, get in & out of the newer cars making great business sense. Then invest in the classics / older cars. Love how your journey is going, inspiring others by just doing your thing. Good on you mate 👍
You won’t get Sport design kit (Aero Kit) on anymore Turbo’s this year Tom, they’ve stopped them, ‘22 earliest for one of those now, as far as we know.
Looking forward to seeing them silver wheels on your own spec Ladd. We all knew it was coming, and is certainly the right move. This is the perfect spec for resale, market loves these. 🤗🤗
I think its a smart move anyway. I think with the speed that technology is moving at the minute it might be hard to settle on a keeper with anything contemporary. Besides, with the 996 C4S, the 912 and the Classic 911 you already have an incredibly interesting stable and retrospective foundation to grow with, yet at the same time maintaining the ability to have a less emotional 'play' with the more modern cars available. A win win .....
Good decision I think. Also a Cullinan would be unreal, never seen one in my part of the world but I absolutely love how they look, spec is key though.
C.. c.. c.. chaos to have enjoyed such a weapon for potentially free. Makes perfect business sense if you were to get out Tom. Look forward to seeing a full send TGE spec later down the line
my theory is that’s the typical deal these bloggers and collectors have with dealers - this will go back to dealer based on the deal made with dealer. “Free”. Then the dealer can resell at higher than list. Just watch this space on who gets all the GT3’s and then what happens when they go back to dealers for price uplifts
Damned if you do damned if you don’t 🙄. It absolutely makes sense to sell if the money is strong, and I personally like seeing all the different cars come through the garage! Great stuff. Nice car though, even if it isn’t your ideal specification.
I’ve had 140 cars in 39 years, but I think you have me beat....I think at this point I’m stuck in my 911. At least you drive your Porsche..a lot of people in Scottsdale, AZ, park their 911’s in their garage for 3 years here
Obviously, you like the car otherwise you wouldn’t order another one to spec and you especially wouldn’t order a cab in between which says a lot about the car
It’s logical i mean, if you know you can get taste, you truly enter in the experience. When the car is blank obviously it’s more like a stale experience, still it delivers. But life is one guys, don’t be afraid of asking for a little bit more!
Is there no taxes and fees in the UK on car purchases? In most US states one needs to pay sales tax on cars, which is often 7+%. Many states also collect property taxes on cars as well (just like tax on your real property). Thus is a very poor financial decisions to buy and sell cars frequently since you ll just be paying lots of taxes to the government each time you buy one. So just want to know if that's the same in the UK?
Never really been a whole lot of content with the car which says a lot, you’ve said yourself you are more into your classics now than all the flashy new stuff
I’ll be sad to see it go but I can understand why, I’ll look forward to more Porsche content. Did you say you were planning on getting a 992 Turbo S Targa?
People are chaos, it’s your money your car you do what you please lad, there’s a reason 99% of people don’t have these cars because most of them are bleating in comments 😂
To be honest I think the Porsche turbo s is a great ‘car’ but it’s abit dull as far as engagement goes, maybe an exhaust would fix some of that but who knows
I agree. But sometimes it's a dull day or you have a long motorway trip and you just want to go somewhere in something that is nice to drive, comfortable and easy, while still being enjoyable. The 911 turbo S is absolutely that car. Though I hear they can be a bit noisy which would put me off using it in that way.
