In this video I give up on my Rover 827 Vitesse project and tell you why, I explain when you should let a project or car go and why. I also give an overview to my Rover 800s first recommissioning. I touch briefly on one of the biggest scammers I’ve ever dealt with and give an overview as it’s important to the story

You've definitely made the right decision Tom, there does come a time in life when you need to have a clear out. More money to spend on the 75 now 😉.

Tom you are correct moving a car on to someone that will take care of it...I have done this many times with motorcycles that I like to own but because of situations just sit in a garage. A vehicle that we love, we know deep down dispite our best of intentions maybe better off being cared for by someone else that may have the time, resources and enthusiasm to appreciate. Well done... Your a cool dude

Best outcome once the personal relationship with a car or bike falls away best let it go give it the chance to live on somewhere else plus the 75 still looks cute asf bud

Better to let it go and mind the cars you have. In an ideal world you could keep it and have it perfect but you made right choice under the circumstances. And sounds like its found a good home!

I'm number one! Sorry you had to sell her, but sometimes you have to go with the hand life deals you. I owned a beautiful P38, then had a bereavement, so sadly had to sell her to fund the funeral. That was in 2019. I now have another P38, and things are on the up. Chin up Tom, take care mate.

Hi Tom... sorry you had to sell the 800... What a lovely car.... I'm sure the person who bought it will do it proud.. 👍🏻. If you want a 'ULEZ buster' can i suggest buying a 'Historic car'.. (40 Yr old plus)... They are ULEZ Exempt... (aswell as Road tax and MOT free).. 😉. I can drive my 3.5 litre V8 P5B into London whilst sticking two fingers up to Sadiq Khan... Can't be bad..lol... Anyway, keep Rovering on pal.. 👍🏻👍🏻

I know exactly how you feel, I once owned a 1972 7ltr land yacht and someone broke into the boot lock, lost interest and sold it. I just thought about all the streets and years it had seen then it comes to the UK and....

Ah it went then. I’ll have to find another project one once I’ve moved some of my other bits. I have another project (800 sized) coming from Keith Adams soon.

Experiences like those you had with the 800 can certainly tarnish the ownership experience. I've given up on two projects, one I regret and one I don't. A 2-door BMW E30 that really didn't need that much to get it through an MoT test, sold it for about a fifth of what it would be worth now, miss that car so big regret. And a Twin Turbo Mitsubishi 3000GT that would've taken me a decade to finish at the rate I was going, so don't regret letting it go, although the selling experience left a bitter taste but that's another story. Anyway, onwards and upwards! Love your Fiat Coupe by the way

You made the right choice id love to have more cars but in the end i wouldnt be able to afford the rising car tax each year and maintenace cost for more than one car to be on the road so ive decided to really put time and effort into my zs 180

Hi Tom I've met you once at a Thoresby a few years back. I had a Platinum S1 Rover 2600.. I prefer series 1's but I do like your silver series 2.. I actually thought that you were Mansfield based but it seems that you might be in Sheffield... Anyway the short story is that I'd like to get a good look at your SD1.. lf you ever wanted / needed to part with it in the future I might well want to buy it.. My reasoning is quite simple. lt's part of a learning curve and I don't think that people should try to go backwards in Auto technology.. I believe myself to be straight and trustworthy as you did seem when I met you.. perhaps reply here if you have time or try to let me know how best to get to see your SD1 if you'll let me see it.. Cheers Will.. :).
