This is my fav in Semarang, Pekunden near Pandanaran & Thamrin street, this place is so legends for a half century... Usually a lot of customer there every lunch between 11-13 WIB.
ohh, you're in semarang! cool :D the further you are into smaller cities, it's more likely you are to find plant-based food. just like rujak and gado-gado with different type of veggies and varieties. these places are vegan-vegetarian heaven ^^ i myself grew up in small city of Jember, East Java. surrounded by mountain and high-altitude lands. we mostly eats veggies, sometimes fresh water fish, eggs or chicken. but mostly veggies with tempe and tofu. as an adult, i absolutely cannot live without the three of them :)
Daily Max eats but puts on no weight and he has great skin! He was born to be a food blogger lol I cannot eat half of the things he eats because I have a restricted diet due to immune disease but watching him eat those food makes me happy enough ! I probably like the Jammu drink because I am healthy due to my immune disease :(
U shud go to eat at night too around simpang lima. Many food sellers open at night. And go to kampung semawis at night on friday or saturday. It's weekly semarangan food bazaar.
Ah, whenever I think of Semarang, I think about its porky dishes like asem-asem, mi titee, and nasi campur. But I don’t think you had any by the look of it.
This is interesting! Here in Malaysia, we call lekker as 'apam balik.' The one you had was the innovated version, since they add in proteins and make it savory. I've never seen this innovation where I live. But I'm sure over time, this practice will spread when more people copy this style. Over here, the most innovative apam balik had been is the chocolate version.

all the food looks delicious but it still more the easy to find type of fast food for me, i still prefer the grandma cooking from last video if i can, as indonesian not really a fan jamu also unless i'm feeling unwell and needed to drink some type of jamu to feel better, beras kencur the only jamu drink i can enjoy in daily basis but a must with honey or palm sugar in it

Hi bro, already trying soto?, acctually if u in Semarang, you should eat "Lumpia Semarang" cause it's a original food from Semarang, a taste of the food a little bit uniqe, but its will gift u a exciting taste experience for u hahaha. If u go to Semarang again, u must go with me bro hahaha 😆
