The mood is def a lot different here in the US. Everyone is on edge except the people that are STILL not taking it seriously.

Panicking vs taking it seriously is very different. You guys are panicking, WE simply are preparing while still living our lives. Which is what everyone should be doing

@@AyeeeItsCam How do you prepare and live your life? Panic not needed, but your life changes drastically if you are really preparing.

This is so unfortunate. You payed a lot of money and you won’t even be able to finish the voyage 😢

It's sad as this was for the majority of us our one shot at this. We weren't the only ones affected though, people in study abroad programs all across the world are in the same situation.

Students were thrown off their campus, no more perks there. Allot of students were shifted

Sad to hear that you have to stop the journey, but the most important is to be safe, and SaS is taking the right decision. Hope everyone is having a safe travel home to wherever that is. Thanks for the update, Johanne, Norway

Thank you! The right decision was definitely made. Even just a couple days after we got off the situation has only gotten worse in South Africa.

What a crazy journey and situation. You seem like you have a good attitude about it. Sorry it is ending like this. On a separate note, love the Tokyo 2020 shirt.

Sending my empathy to you guys. I was just sent home from Barcelona on March 12th. Super abruptly. Trump made his live address of the corona update and within 30 minutes all of my roommates had tickets booked. Flights went upwards of thousands of dollars. It’s difficult. Semester at sea was my first choice for a study abroad option, hence why I was so interested to see what you guys were up to. Stay strong i rlly feel for you guys. Thanks for the videos dude!

Thank you! It's a crazy time and it's affected just about everyone. For us, even though our journey was cut short, we still had an amazing time. Hopefully its the same story for you and everyone in Spain.

Unfortunate, but fortunate the students and crew were not hit with the virus. Safe travels home.

Thank you! We were very fortunate with the decisions that were early on in the voyage, especially in skipping China.

Please practice social distancing, take care of yourselves. You can be asymptomatic but give the virus to your loved ones. This is serious. Please take care.

How long do you think this could go on for? China only had to fully quarantine for about a month ish (although it did start in December they didn’t fully quarantine until February ish) so do you think if the US follows what China did, we could be out of this by June. It’s so crazy here. I’m a senior and just received word from my dream school that acceptance letters have been postponed from mid March to late April due to this outbreak which is completely understandable. I was originally going to study abroad next year in Paris because my grandparents live there, but I don’t even know if that is happening now either. My grandparents (who are on the younger end of the elderly stick being in their late 60s) have been self quarantined, and my grandma is currently teaching online classes to her students (she’s a social studies teacher) . The world is so crazy right now it all shut down so quickly. I feel like once this ends people will STILL be afraid to do anything. Especially with seniors in Highschool. Some of my friends are considering postponing college if this carries on over the summer due to them not wanting to move out and be around so many people just after it cleared up. Hope you’re safe

No one really knows how long this will go on. Everything will go back to normal eventually and hopefully we all learn something from this tragic event. Personally, I feel that the world will mostly be returning to normal by the end of summer, but then again I am no expert.

i’m so sorry, this blows what do you think will happen to f2020
@CruzenTheTube
@CruzenTheTube 4 года назад
I honestly have no idea. The world is basically shutdown right now, so it really just depends on how the world looks in August. Personally, I think the voyage will go on possibly with slight adjustments.

It’s crazy how everyone’s schools are being closed here due to the outbreak. But also I’m so so sorry that this cancelled your voyage

You need to come home now. If you are in a foreign country and the outbreak occurs you will most likely be last to receive treatment.

It seems like you & your classmates are taking an extremely serious issue very lightly!!! It’s not even a little bit funny. People are dying & getting sick & it’s spreading at a rapid rate!!! It’s so serious!!

Cassidy Dawn people deal with things in their own way. Many folks use humor to cope with stress and there is nothing wrong with that.

They can laughas long as they are taking it seriously. But I don't think they get it yet. I hope they do quickly
@BergenMcKenzie
@BergenMcKenzie 4 года назад
I don't think it is completely fair to expect them to be super serious about an issue they were not able to understand the full magnitude of. they were on a ship in the middle of the ocean for long stretches of time with little communication to the outside world. on top of that everyone copes with things differently and for a lot of people that are nervous laughter. all in all its similar to the way America was taking it before things hit hard or even how people in Italy explain the situation
