I fall in love with this beautiful rifle. once they give me option to choose akm or m16a2 for my service rifle, i choose m16a2. Greetings from west papua, Indonesia 🇮🇩🇺🇸
@@enkinaser Nearly every ISIS video from Northern Iraq showed them using m16a4's. They also had videos of them capturing rifles from the Iraqi Army and police. Many rifles still had Iraqi platoon badges.
May I ask? M16A2-A4 M4A1 is available in both Fn and Colt versions. Conclude whether Fn bought a patent for the production of M16AA2-A4 M4A1 from Colt to produce by itself or not ???? So what is better between Colt and Fn ????
Well Colt is more expensive, hence why FN got the military contract. But my issued m4a1 was an older Colt upper on the newer full auto FN lower, so to answer your question, yes.
Because the 3 round burst preserves ammo. I still don't like it tho. I think the US millitary thought that soilders were using full auto mode in long range firefights and they were "wAstiNG amMo" but full auto would be useful in close range.
Burst mode, also known as "in the shit mode", as the only time you'll ever use it is when you've got hostiles so close you can see the whites of their eyes when using iron sights.
@@hoppinggnomethe4154 How? Gives a similar suppression effect with less ammo than full auto in case a soldier is well trained and wants to mag dump. The draft only ended in 10 years before the M16a2 came out and it was mainly ended because Nixon thought that the anti-war movements would forget about all the war crimes he was committing in Vietnam if they weren't going to be drafted anymore and with the Cold war potentially turning hot any moment, the return of conscription could be seen as inevitable(the return of conscription in case of a major war is still widely talked about to this day) and when you have to quickly train a lot of soldiers, training quality decreases(which is why professional armies are preferred over conscript armies) so it's good to have the suppressive capabilities of many shots fired fairly accurately , but take away the ability to dump your entire magazine quickly. 3 round burst does this very well as it's very controllable/accurate which plays well in while a many bullets at the enemy, but in small enough intervals that the magazine gets used up at a manageable rate.
The M-16A2 is a sweet, classic rifle. Kinda funny that some of our units in the Armed Forces are STILL using this baby. Because the M-4A1 Carbine is more used in the place of this A2.
POGs Life My brother at FT Hood showed me a picture couple months ago that him and one of his buds were cleaning and reassembling M16A2s and claimed that they were gonna get rid of them because the Army ain’t gonna be using it anymore. I was thinking like they should maybe pawn or something rather than destroying most of them.
why was it necessary to replace the automatic fire mode with a queue? apparently, the person who came up with this did not have a special mind! tell me what is the difficulty of cutting off the queue with your own hands?
@@chiimumango3979 Well. Kinda. A trained soldier doesnt really need burst per se. Full auto works fine in short bursts. Unless you're trying to make a point.
