bro, what is the status of the Sealdah to Esplanade stretch? I want to know the progress update because that will be a game changer that will connect Howrah and Kolkata. please give updates regarding that.

We could have avail the service of East- West metro back in 2014/15 if our state government hadn't changed the alignment forcefully and unnecessarily.

@@debanjoy_how our "honourable" Chief minister poked her nose and twisted the arm of Railway board to realign the route. Earlier, it was supposed to go through Central, where the interchange station was to be constructed.

@@7taurusgaming415 Actually Kolkata Metro is at a stage that all 6 lines can be completed in 3 years. Even that is plan. But they'll drag it out as long as TMC in power expecting that one day BJP will be in power, and they will complete everything in 2 years and claim credit. Except 3-4 places all land acquisition issues were resolved by 2015 and look for 8 years they are blaming the State Government for delays. Look at the budget for Kolkata Metro between 2014-2018 and you will realize the delay is due to lack of budget. Only in 2022 and 2023 they have allocated respectable budget.

@@7taurusgaming415 😂😂😂😂 state government has zero participation in metro projects which are happening right now. They don't help RVNL for land acquisition, neither do they contribute any fund for metro construction which is happening across the city.

Kolkata and its people are neglected by your local state govt only (they remember you only in time of vote/elections), what more are you expecting from Central Govt?

Ruby-Garia, Majerhat and Dum dum cant- Noapara lines will be opening soon but there are no rakes available then how will Metro start operations and the new rakes will arrive only in 2026-27. East West metro currently has 14 BEML rakes and was supposed to get 3 more for for the Howrah section but they haven't arrived any news on them?
