Ukraine could finish top 5 in the final- I think they are so impactful and original and interesting. I think Ukraine should start teaching everyone else how its done- are you listening Malta?

On the similarities of the colour palates: It isn't a coincidence or just because 80s that there is so much similarity of the colours. From what I heard from a few journos at the rehearsals, the delegations were actually asked to have some similarities with the colour palates to make the show more seamless and cohesive. So in other words it was a very deliberate choice to be similar to one another, and the show runners even put many of them together in the order too.

I think the Maltese delegation have made a mistake in appointing SJB to do their staging. The video was fantastic and they had several looks to pick from then transfer to the stage. If they flop its very much down to SJB imho.

Croatia killed it. I love the fact that she brought it and she looks fantastic. Hooverphonic aren't my kinda thing, but I have to say their staging is incredibly classy. Her dress is gorgeous and she sounds pretty good. I still can't see it getting through though, but who knows. Eden.....she kills it and looks incredible. Her staging is superb and her hair and dress are absolutely on point. Plus she gives her performance so much sass. I really wasn't phased with the song, and if I'm honest, I'm still not, but she's giving it so much and the whole thing is riding on Eden and her persona. I agree with the Romanian performance. It just surprised me at how out of tune she sounded at times, and they seemed to think that filling the space on stage would be best done by having her walking around aimlessly. It makes little sense. Ukraine absolutely KILLED it. I never doubted their staging because they have such an artistic style and an incredible understanding of graphics. They've put together a great, creative staging. Ps: I heard the stand in singer wasn't Ukrainian but had to learn the songs incase someone dropped out due to ill health. Not sure if that's true, but its what I read somewhere. Tix is an incredible guy. His interviews have been great and they've really elevated his staging. His song still isn't my favourite but I've grown to really like him and his 'brand'. I LOVED seeing that short clip of Effendi meeting Eden Alene! Don't know if you've seen it but it's so heartwarming. Two artists uplifting one another and sharing a beautiful moment. I like the song but I've lost some interest over the last month. I do hope it makes it through but its just slipped out of my top 10. Destiny's look just didn't look good. It was like Lizzo had been cloned. I was expecting something a little cutting edge in terms of style and staging. The song is strong enough to make it through on its own merits though. My winner is most definitely Go-A. Biggest loser....I wasn't massively in to it to begin with, but Roxens performance was a real let down.

Croatia is my number 1 this year the mix of English and Croatian is absolutely amazing tbh I do have a thing for bi lingual songs and nah Belgium not for me

Here we are, tearing our hair out over who goes through from SF1. For me, this is a signal that the quality of songs at Eurovision really is getting better. I actually convinced a work colleague today to watch a semi-final for the first time on Tuesday. Absolutely agree with you - Ukraine have gone way up in my estimation, Romania my biggest disappointment. SJB and Malta? Damn! So many questions. That initial pink outfit was goddamn awful. It reduced Destiny to looking like lead singer in a girl group. The silver is better but the pink stockings/boots have to go - she has to stand out from the dancers because this is HER moment.

Tom I was so gutted when I was listening to the escunited rehearsal livestream, theyve given her too much to do, oh shit I'm talking about Roxen BTW.....im also not a fan of the head mic's, i think a hand mic would pick up more of her voice. Just hoping she's rehearsing rehearsing rehearsing!!

Lots of middle of the road/expectable staging here. I personally don't like what I've seen of Malta so far, the pink theme looks quite cheap and the stage seems a little empty. I'm really disappointed with Israel, which I've really started to love lately. While the video looked classy, mature and expensive, the staging and her outfit... Don't. The dancers add nothing. Also they've gone for a more playful vibe, even though Eden is so good at delivering something a little more classy and badass. While I really hate Belgium's song, I must say I think they'll qualify. Staging is quality and stands out.

Malta looked all wrong to me. Conceivable that they might even struggle in the semi. Meanwhile Norway for me looks ludicrous. Like a joke entry.

Croatia : Glam futurism, 80s vibes, synthwave aesthetics, nice performance. Solid. Belgium: Confident, atmospheric, mysterious and darkly classy. Great staging. Israel: Amazing vocals, playful and confident performance, basic choreography. Romania: A disaster. Bad vocals, a messy staging, wannabe urban style, a copy of Billie Eilish. Worse than all stagings, and the worst vocals. Ukraine: AMAZING! Dark, slightly psychedelic, full of character exactly as the song is full of ifentity. Unique, daring, edgy. Amazing. Norway: Kitsch, angel and demonds dancing. Basic from 2006. Azerbaijan: Nice graphics, exotic and sensual, but there is a huge mistake - the singer is much smaller than the dancers, and they make her look like a 13 year old Lolita. Malta: Nothing special. First of all, they made Destiny look like a 47 year old housewife. Additionally, the dress.... What can we say? There are some limits in the embrace-your-curves movement, I guess. Destiny is very beautiful but they put her down in this styling.

Nightmare stuff, this semi It will turn on small things Tom Croatia, not many geographical friends here for them Belgium is pure class...surely a qualifier. Israel, don't underestimate political sutuation right now. Juries might slaughter it a la Sergey in 2016 Romania?.....only chance is if she stands still and let's the dancers do their thing. Her vocals are too breathy and poor. Ukraine?.......you know my feelings here......but still think it will get through......and maybe on merit🙈🙈 Norway?.......sorry folks. Similar to what i think on Sweden. Very bland and Tix's vocals are adequate but hardly strong Azerbaijan?.......this just lacks energy in my opinion. I would definitely have Croatia over this!......i feel this is a NQ Tom. Malta?.......look, its Destiny!!. Her vocals are just superb but i feel she deserves a better vehicle to perform with. Lyrically, i just don't like this song but she is marvellous and is a sure qualifier
