Hi guys in this video I get an engine assembled for a customer of mine I tried to keep it a short as possible while being as detailed as I could be I hope you guys enjoy the video thank you all for watching…
Some of the engine specs are..
Je pistons suit l32 rods
L32 connecting rods
Arp rod bolts,head studs and main studs
Commetic head gaskets
Yella terra roller rockers unknkown ratio
Crow cams camshaft unknown specs
Standard gm cranshaft 10 thou grind on both mains and big ends

I like that setup : how much in parts woould i be looking at . I know pretty much everthing about cars , suspension , diffs , electrical , running gear , the whole works .. one thing i have never done is tear down an engine and rebuild . Wiring loom is frightening 😳 just so many little things if you dont get right can cook an engine etc . Any videos or manuals or better yet are you able to build one ...my ecotec is at 174k with all the good add on's , diff 3.45 , exhaust, tuned ecu , bigger throtle body plus more . Will be super charging it with after market SC etc

As always, love your videos bro! Specially engine build vids 😀 i learn so much from your vids and inspires me to push my ecotec when i get it back from my mechanics haha (needed full engine rebuild aswell.... fucked block and cam bearings) Keep it up brother!

I have finished my turbo LS VX but staring to get a itch for another turbo V6. its ben almost 10 years since i had my turbo VN. it was a lot quicker than a lot of worked v8's at the time.

I found the easiest way to use arp rod bolts like that is get an initial torque the use a long spanner with the stretch gauge in place and check the torque as you go. I'm my head it seems easier than torquing and checking etc

Have you run into issues with double row timing chain and having to cease function of the balance Shaft?

Yeah man you have remove the ballance shaft gear at a minimum but I like to have the whole thing removed so your not lugging around dead weight..

First view yay! Man you inspired me to turbocharge my ecotec. Any pointers or tips/ issues you ran into? Edit: What ring gap would you recommend?

Thanks man biggest tip I can give is get a solid way to be able tune it.. appart from that it's not to difficult send it man.. arp studs are a must tho 😊🤘

Depends on how much boost your gonna run for ring gap theres not one tru answer man

@@cornfedboost so run a aftermarket ecu or? So arp head studs, decent head gaskets and go from there? What ring gap do you suggest for around 10-15psi and is it necessary to run forged if I'm aiming for around the 300kw mark?
