Thank you! Thats always our choice if we disconnect the trailer. We've since added a mini excavator with a thumb to our fleet, which would have been a lot more effective in cleaning up the cardboard on this one!

On second look--didn't kow you folks had a Landoll trailer .too. They are real nice!

Yes, we bought that new off of another company in 2021. The company bought it with anticipation that they would be very busy moving machinery from factories, and it ended up not like they predicted. They took delivery of it and then never even used it. We purchased at 15% less than what we'd have paid from a dealer.

When the trailers are so heavily damaged like that and we are trying to slide them up out of the ditch with cargo still inside, we like to winch them at roughly a 45 degree angle. It seems to help the trailer slide into the road a little bit easier than a direct sideways pull (especially if the asphalt has a lip at the edge), and it's a little bit easier on the trailer so it holds together. The rotator boom was pretty much centered between the 2 cables winching, so it really isn't putting a side load on the boom (even though the angle looks strange in the video). The rotator swing gear is designed to somewhat self-center itself if too much load is winched pulling sideways on the boom. Glad you are enjoying the channel! 👍🏻
