I remember asking my father why they did that so fast and he said is because when the car lands it bends into an l shape LOL. And you watch closely in the dukes of Hazzard and it pretty well does when they jump that Big River
I bet that truck had the best time of his life, flying for those few secs into the air. I bet if the truck coulda talk he woulda like to do it again haha! Yea.. I love cars and pretty much any vehicle...
This same stunt can be seen in Chicago on the Dan Ryan Expressway. I've completely emptied out my top bunk including the mattress. If I hadn't been driving solo my co-driver would have reached lightspeed before vanishing into the heater vents.
Either these fellows really know what theyre doing or they just got really lucky. Nicely built ramp and the driver hit it at the perfect speed. Im sure there was some front suspension damage but over all it looked almost spot on! Very nice!
Doubt it..prob had structural damage at least...ie..lik a banana shaped truck...rear axle was off the ground at the end😁wat that struck weigh 14ton??more than likely heavily modified to take the land but was it enough..more steel more weight..where do you stop with braces and gussets....by the end it prob weighed up to 15ton ...the second ramp cud of been a bit higher and longer to save it somewhat better...give it a smooth landing..bt that's what tests are for..good job
This was some of the coolest things I have seen. A like from me. A little bad we didn't get to se the landing entirely. We did get to see. But it was cut to early.
Minor quibble. This is NOT a "semi truck". "Semi" is short for a semi-trailer. A bobtail is clearly NOT a semi, as the trailer is missing. A jumping tractor is still cool
