Those three part harmonies are luscious. Definitely gives me such a hair/glam metal vibe with how bombastic they went on the lead. Lots of juicy string jumping and sliding into phrases that color the song nicely. The piano and synth not only set the tone but manage to outpace the guitar by not only playing the lead phrase but playing it elegantly. This is a battle theme for a reason. You want to hear it again and again and again.
I know. Sen 3 took over a full month to get to my house. And the problem is that my mail is often delivered to the wrong house to. So I am pretty anxious about buying it.
@fallendreams404 Nope! lol Unlike most people, a huge reason I play these games is because of the combat. It's the best turn based system I have ever played. Not to say that the story hasn't caught my attention, because it has. The stories in these games are superb. For the story stuff in CS3, I just look stuff up, watch playthroughs of the game, and go to different gaming websites to understand what goes on in CS3 and will do the same with CS4. CS3 probably won't get an English release for another 2-4 years, so in the meantime, I would play the other titles in the series if you haven't already. - Trails in the Sky Trilogy - Available on steam - Crossbell Duology (Zero/Ao no Kiseki) - Available for the PPSSPP in English, (100% Human Translation) for free
I also don't understand japanese but I couldn't wait for who knows how long for this game. Been playing for 2 days and yeah, no idea what is going on for the most part, but can guess the major plot details, the rest is amazing.
I’m SO glad this is the “Battle Theme”. Not a boss fight theme or anything else; you hear this music every time you run into an enemy, which means you’ll get to hear it a lot.
I kinda imagine that the normal battle themes of the Erebonia arc to be suites for the characters' mental states. It'd be great if they actually get arranged that way in the future. Maybe as a bonus track in a "Best of Sen no kiseki Soundtrack" 10 years down the line lol.
Very fitting theme for the finale of the Erebonia arc this is amazing!!!! Definitely my favourite out of the 4 Cold Steel games and top battle themes in the entire series
@@vincent8460 Some text was censored/altered and nisa employees admitted it themselves on stream from what i remember. That's enough for me to not give nisa any money.
@@DiabolicCrusher Changing lines regarding Rean praising Juna's feminity Like the line: "You are unexpectedly more feminine than I thought." (because juna can cook). Which has been censored in NISA's localization ("Juna, I suspect you possess some unexpectedly high cooking skills."). Is this really worth not buying the game? is this the hill you want to die on?
Hmm, I kinda prefer ToCS 3's battle theme a bit more, but this is fine, definitely sets the tone of the story with what happened in the Epilogue of ToCS 3.
@@vDorgengoa How much cheese is in it? I stopped playing halfway through Cold Steel 3 after playing all the older games in the series because the characters are just super super super super cheesy. It puts other anime games to shame with the cheesiness of their characters especially Lloyd and Rean.
@@gallantsteel8542 The unbelievable optimistic thing they do and the speeches? Yeah they still do that but I urge you to play to the end. It's really good. Especially the ending of CS3..... final dungeon included.
@@vDorgengoa no thanks I quit Cold Steel 2 before but a youtube video urged me to play again and I regretted it. It was a Cold Steel 3 video and it showed Rean's character which I thought looked so badass. I finished Cold Steel 2 and played through all the older games. I thought Cold Steel 3 was going to be a masterpiece because of the difference in technology and the time given for growth in both skill and personality (both for the characters and devs) between Azure and Cold Steel 3 but I was wrong. The plot is great, the soundtrack is great, the graphics are okay, but the characters and delivery of the story just bring it all down for me.
@@gallantsteel8542 Sorry to hear that. It's really good and pushed the story forward in an interesting way.... but I guess that doesn't mean much when you don't care for the characters. The next game, Hajimari will tie up everything from Crossbell and Cold Steel... Whereas the game in development now, Kuro, is taking us to Calvard where we'll be meeting a new cast of characters. Think you give Kuro a shot? They're older than the previous cast.... but the battle system will be changing a bit.
As much I would love To import ToCS 3 and 4 I would feel less immersed in the story as I can’t read Japanese. I hope with the release of 4 they’ll announce that 3 is in the works for localisation. But for now I can listen to this amazing new soundtrack
@@Zarath0sThanat0s And now we live in world where NISA localized Cold Steel 3 and actually did a good job of it. I don't know what kind of weird timeline we've found ourselves in, but honestly...I think I like it.
@@ChampionSushima Well, that's the least of my worries. If they do come through, let's hope they come without being contaminated by NPC's, and not the ones that were already on the games.
after CSII's rather boring normal battle theme and CSIII's rather hectic normal battle theme, I'm glad we got one that compliments The Glint of Cold Steel
i love how trails fan boys always typing this crap - this is a spoiler your series always got characters being resurrected, nobody dies, aside from guy from the first game - but guess what you gonna go to hell in 3rd game and kill him again WOW SPOILER ALERT ahaaha
@@mystery8820 arguable. Tvtropes still treats anything relevant in 3 and 4 as worth hiding behind a spoiler tag. They're as good a standard as any I've seen
