This is amazing!! What's really sad aside from the comments section is the fact that you can see the vast majority of seats are held by men. It's only in their absence that you see how few women there are in American government.
@People said my Username was Offensive ok cool, I don't know if that's true, but I'm to lazy to verify, so I'll believe you haha. I just don't get what that has to do with what the original comment was saying? Like tf?
@People said my Username was Offensive who the original comment or me? I could ask the same of you. Why comment? Especially if your reply makes no sense in this context.
+Charleen Wright How many female congresswomen and senators were absent? The majority -- those with the requisite common sense to stay home when Federal Buildings were closed, during the aftermath of a storm that killed close to fifty people. Oh yea ... LOL

37OH55V I understand your frustration with bad weather...and your right they should have stayed home...I live on Prince Edward Island...and bad winter storms are very common...I was just making a light heart'd comment...no need to get bent out of shape!
No, Charleen Wright , you don't understand. You think, you think you understand, but you do not understand. I chose not to read beyond "Read more". CYa
Are those people saying 'oh, they were irresponsible', 'men had to shovel them out' haha you're just angry that 'men' couldn't/wouldn't get out of bed lol this just shows women are willing to get the job done
Context, folks. Even within the extremely small microcosm in which this is being observed, the magnitude of this, in both a literal and symbolic sense, should not get lost on anyone. Or, it all could have been a coincidence.
Aside from this proving that she is an opportunist, it speaks to how invisible (to her) are all of the males (snow clearing, building engineers, security, etc.) who facilitated her being able to engage in such a blatant and disgusting display of sexism. I remark 'disgusting' because according to ABC News, Federal Offices were closed on Tuesday; at least 48 people lost their lives in this storm, and she is beating on her mammaries like she just traversed Antarctica, when all she has really done at the end of the day is to alienate herself from her colleagues -- in effect, shaming them. Incidentally, who were the female Republican and Democrat Senators who did not show up, or are we to believe that all female Senators were in attendance and none of the male Senators were in the Senate?
I would go gladly travel across DC through three feet of snow in twenty degree temperatures and thirty mile an hour winds for the opportunity to spend ungodly amounts of other people's money to enrich myself and my friends.
+maxximuss She didn't get that memo, that Federal Buildings would be closed on Tuesday. I'm sure she will blame it on a male staff member, or at least think it.
Nitron DSP I too, took note of that. An indisputable fact is, 2 female Senators out of 20 female Senators showed up at the Senate on a day when all Federal Buildings were scheduled to be closed, yet she points at the 80 males Senators not in attendance and not the other 18 female Senators not in attendance and thinks she can make a valid argument about women in the Senate based on that observation. She is a nutcase and CNN is no less so having covered this nonsense.
Sooooo. Instead of coordinating on a time when everyone can show up and attempt to get stuff done you "brave the elements" to point out that only females showed up. Your ruse impresses no one.
If this was men making this exact video, the entire world would be losing their minds. Yet it's okay for a group of women to drive when they are told not to, "work" when they are told not to, and make a video about men doing what they were told to do. LOL.
+Webe Free What we have now is socialism for the 1% rich, and it hasn't been working. We need free healthcare like every other civilized, modern society, we need free and affordable college. Education should be a right, not a privilege.
+Webe Free We need to go back to the Eisenhower tax rates. It will be free for 99% of people if they just tax the richest individuals. They also need to ban confederate flags.
+Webe Free You're an absolute idiot. You don't understand economics at all. It would be CHEAPER to have nationalized/ socialized healthcare/ education.
+flioink Do note that we don't get to know how many female Senators acted in accordance with the Mayors directive to stay home as the Federal Buildings would be closed on Tuesday. Yes, feminist garbage talk from a Republican senator -- as eye-opening as recent behavior from Megyn Kelly at Fox News.
Senator airhead, I can't help but notice that only men stormed the beaches of Normandy. Only men liberated the camps. Only men rushed across Europe. I think women were sitting at home snacking on something in a climate controlled environment instead of watching their friend's heads explode next to them. But hey, after it snowed you managed to show up to work. I'm so proud of your bravery and accomplishments. Truly, you're an inspiration to... no one.
+The Justicar You take the problem in the wrong way. I think you comment here the result of the sexism. Not the reason why. Only men stormed the beaches of Normandy because women in army were prohibed in these times, that's all. Sexism is the result of society, not only the result of the men will. These women are an inspiration to...no one? At least to me.
+crabe "Only men stormed the beaches of Normandy because women in army were prohibed [sic] in these times" Women weren't there because they were too weak and feeble to do the work and would have gotten men killed for no particular reason. Their weakness isn't sexism. Furthermore, they weren't there because women fought the draft as applied to them tooth and nail. They were whining about wanting to vote while arguing that it would be unfair to expect them to do anything to benefit anyone but themselves. They even opposed being drafted for civilian service stateside. (That on their part is sexism; they believe themselves too important to do work if they don't want to do work) "These women are an inspiration to...no one? At least to me." This woman is inspirational to no one. You are no one. Therefore you are inspired.
+The Justicar ? I don't know where your insecurity come from, man, but you should stop doing these videos : some people can take your fantasies seriously.
The women were at work actually, keeping the country running when all the men were away. They found out they enjoyed having a bigger purpose than pumping out babies and that led to the feminist movement and equal rights. You do not know your history. Not to mention there are women today in our military who have already accomplished more than you ever will in your entire lifetime.
@@PriusRaj "You do not know your history" lol. Yes, yes I do know my history. As I said earlier, and as you seem to fail to notice or appreciate, women themselves were implacably opposed to women's being drafted even into civilian, stateside jobs. As went the feminist argument of the day, they wanted equality to men and to achieve this alleged equality, women, unlike men, must be permitted to choose whether or not to serve. It would be wrong to require a woman, even if only one woman, to do anything at all to help the war effort. The Committee to Oppose the Conscription of Women was adamant that true equality means women must be treated better than men. I didn't make that position up and shove down anyone's throat during WWII; it was women. And, incidentally, it was a position that was out of step with the average American. I know the history quite well; don't try to lecture me, slick. You are educated enough to pull it off. "Not to mention there are women today in our military who have already accomplished more than you ever will in your entire lifetime" I don't know. I'm a pretty accomplished guy, including, among other things, mathematical modeling that I devised which play a crucial role in the power of modern forensic science. =^_^=
