Senior Red Panda Moshu Gets Extra Special Care As He Ages 

He is gorgeous. Sadly he is a little older, but he is living the best life you can possibly give him. Thank you for not only caring for him, but for loving him too❤

Moshu!!🥰🥰 oh my goodness he is such a handsome distinguished Pake(grandpa)it’s so difficult watching our beloved animals age as mom to a pup who will be 14 next week(she will be getting some chicken nuggets and a little vanilla ice cream for her birthday🤩)I see the different effects as well and do various things to keep her happy and comfortable including gabapentin and turmeric.I fully believe that if you make a commitment to an animal that it should be a promise for as long as they are willing to stay with you and given this sweet boy’s age it’s beyond evident that Oregon Zoo has taken their commitment to Moshu above and beyond which truly makes me tear up so thank you to M’s keepers and vet team for providing him top notch care and for obviously loving him deeply he’s living his best senior life.❤️❤️🤗🤗

12.5 years old ? That's young compared to 17-year-old Coco from the Maruyama zoo !

Also even if he does die or something, can you at least get a new Red Panda?

I just looked it up and red pandas life expectancy is about 23 years... so if he's 12yo that makes him middle age, not geriatric. So either something is going on with Moshu and the zoo is just saying he's old so people don't say anything or...

If red pandas life expectancy is 23 years how is 12 years 'nearing the end of his life'?
