Benny Urquidez -- one of the greatest martial arts fighters ever. Not only was he a talented fighter but a true sportsman and inspiration to generations of fighters since.
Sensei Benny is one of the greatest Martial Artists and especially Kickboxers of my lifetime. I had trained with Sensi Benny for a short time and along with other great Martial Artists and he was the only one I thought I could never beat no matter how much training or great shape I got. A true legend with a wealth of knowledge to share about the Martial Arts and life.
Finding these fights from Sensei Benny is a real find! Such gems and treasures like this are the only thing keeping me around on this platform. The Jet truly is the best. Almost like Benny is a Gold Dragon in human form. A master of focus and control. He was born to fight. I wager you will not see a warrior like this again in our lifetimes. Benny is something special.
I wish I could travel back in time so I could watch these fights when they happened. You are one of my favorite fighters of all time. And true warrior and fighter and an even better human being
Отличный бой. Уважаю Бенни Уркидеза, один из лучших кикбоксеров планеты, при этом никаких понтов, не кривляется, уважает соперников и очень стоек в бою.
I love Benny for his back thrust, Unlike many kickboxers who punch powder-puff Benny had strong punches.Very well-rounded, Sensei Benny is handsome too, he's the Muhammad Ali of kickboxing!
Wrong.. ALI lost few fights.. I'd say Rocky Marciano of kickboxing. Rocky was Undefeated heavy weight boxer who had amazing left hook, called Suzie Q. 49-0. Professional record. Benny has amazing left hand hook too, he was Undefeated too.
I trained and fought at the jet center for a time back in the 80's and Benny would often jump in the class and give pointers. He's a class act and I'm glad to see He's still active in MA.
Dulce Caricia I hope you pick up on this. I remember from one of his fights that the commentators said that after the weigh in (the night before) he would carbo load and the commentators said that made him look a bit puffy sometimes. That would explain why he looks heavier and that would also explain some of his stamina which obviously held throughout the rounds.
Shinobu Onuki was more of a "classic" muay thai, versus the hybrid very effective full contact/ thai boxing Urquidez style, what a great head forward boxer! that punch! great match!
I really love watching Benny´s fights. What I perceive about him is, quite clearly, his spirit. He is strong and confident, because of his dedication in training. Another thing is to perceive, I think Benni is heavier than Shinobu, therefore, his punches are stronger, therefore, that attitude of great respect, by Shinobu to Benny .. I've seen some fights Benny, and I think, he is always a little heavier than its rivals, but not sure I would like someone to enlighten me. My respects to his warrior spirit. He's really great.
Benny's like Rocky Marciano of kickboxing. Rocky was Undefeated heavy weight boxer who had amazing left hook, called Suzie Q. Who has 49-0 Professional boxing record. Benny has amazing left hand hook too, he was also Undefeated. Benny could be a professional boxer, just like his father. Amazing boxing skills.
@@exspiravit6920 not exactly....I think he got leg kicked viciously by a muay thai guy but the fight couldnot be ended due to offstage tussle. Tagami fight is on youtube, you can watch it and decide for yourself
I know they're friends & in dif weight classes etc. But to this day I still think Benny would take Chuck out. Chuck may've had success in martial arts "matches" but Urquidez was a real deal FIGHTER.
@@jaydee8285Yep. Bruce in a match with gloves and real pros would've got beaten. Maybe if he'd trained and tried to actually fight the best (thats the only way you get better)
