o.o' yea was at that moment i was like god dam that guys higher then me, probably high 24 hours a day 7 days a week o.o' he must have come out of the womb with a joint already pre-lit
It'd be pretty difficult to consume DMT inside it except orally -- once you're in the tank there's basically nothing you can do (without getting massive amounts of salt in bad places, such as in your eyeballs). You need to just lie back. Weed, however, is an excellent thing to consume. As would be a lower dose of mushrooms or LSD.
@@dogchaser520 Yeah I think smoking DMT would be a bad idea. My understanding is you lose motor control when you breakt hough. So drowning is a real concern. Like the guy they mention later in this documentary that drowned in a float tank on ketamine.
I've done several Sensory Deprivation Tanks over the years. It is an interesting experience, but I did not have this inner-body connection or crazy visions/thoughts etc. I do find it very relaxing.
The float tanks are amazing. Used them in the early to mid 80’s, sans drugs. The calm, peaceful, serene effect lasts for hours. I could clearly see ways to solve whatever problem I had. Highly recommend. Just don’t trip while your in there, otherwise it’s just entertainment. My thoughts anyway. To each his own.
Hamilton is such a cool dude, yeah he may seem "burnt" out, or just weird at first, but after watching a few videos of him he'll start to grow on ya. No matter how awkward he may be
You briefly mention ADD/ADHD. As an adult with this condition and at least twice your age, I can relate to your search. Let me tell you that being plagued day and night by thoughts like reliving the day, or who said this and why did they say/do that, anxiety of all kinds, etc. goes away eventually. I'm so grateful because my twenties and thirties were hell. I'm not joking but really the best thing for peace of mind is working physically really hard. Like chopping wood. Serious.
KarnageSW No, it doesn't work for LSD. Citric acid in Orange juice does "potentiate" mushrooms though by aiding in the dephosphorylation of psilocybin, quickly converting it to psilocin.
I sleep with ear plugs in and in a chair that removes all pressure to my body (over stuffed chair). I sleep in a near fetal body position. I've slept this way for about 5 years. I have the most vivid and entertaining and deep dreams, so much so that I actually look forward to sleeping more than anything else in life. I see color and read and even do math in dreams. It's really almost exactly like real life, but the situations are all over the place. The key to understanding dreams is simply to be honest with yourself and others. Everyone thinks they are honest, but true honesty is very difficult and often not a virtue. A million lies a day are told as a kindness to others and to ourselves. NO ONE wants a truly honest friend or spouse.
You're supposed to go into a sensory deprivation tank sober not already high or tripping. You can't truly know if there are any effects at all from the sensory deprivation tank especially if you are tripping. You need to be in one sober and clear headed to see if being in such a tank actually works at all. Not against weed or psychedelics at all. I just think for this experiment. You should be sober so you can make a clear headed decision as to weather or not there is anything to this. I thought sensory deprivations stopped after the 60's.
Both ways are ok while your high it's like a great way of meditating. Sober would just be fighting insanity you win if you can stay in and be ok and even meditate. Being high will just help u get to meditating easier
How about people watch this to learn about something new or check out someone else's experience on something they've done before? Heaven forbid you allow yourself to grow as a person instead of just insult someone who is off traveling the world having adventures for a living while you're stuck at home with nothing better to do than leave mean comments on RU-vid.
It's much, much more than that. I suggest watching his and Dr. Wallach's presentation on arylcyclohexylamines, or dissasociatives. Documents the history as well.
I'm thinking of making an anxiety tank... it will produce low pitch sounds similar to that of an earthquake in order to trigger the natural fight or light response. It will also increase the amount of oxygen to really high levels temporarily in order to induce hyperventilation, send sporadic electrical shocks and suspend you 45 degrees with your head tilting down. Also, it will have a very uncomfortable warm and moist temperature inside of it and indistinguishable screams will be heard randomly which sound half human but you arn't really sure.
I've done this just by laying in bed. I didn't know that this was the same thing, but I was attempting to trick my brain into going straight into a lucid dream but I never did. Instead I got to experience the loss of feeling in my entire body which is insane. I did manage to get pretty deep into my mind but this was like 30 minutes of not moving, just laying on my bed lol. Not 5-8 hours in total deprivation.
Come on you guys. Hamilton is an awesome host and footage editer/director. Take for instance the moment at 6:35 when crash is clearly influenced by coke and mentions hippie - you see the funny kinda "ironic" footage of a guy who looks like what Crash is talking about.also look at the transaction to 6:54. Listen how the music changes with the footage, makes it funny but also ridiculing itself and the machine he is trying out. Also notice how the voiceover is kinda making fun of the machinery. Also the transaction at 7:43 - listen to the music kinda sounds like really happy/heavnly like being mellow, and take a look at Hamilton in that clip - says it all. I think he is doing a really good job. Just my 2 cents.
Ahh Crash is awesome! I just opened up a detox/health spa in NYC with a float tank and it's definitely been a game changer for me :) It took a couple floats to really get the hang of it, but now I float about 3 times per week and it has seriously improved the quality of my life! Keep spreading the word! It can heal so many people
5:00 Hamilton should audition as an extra in Walking Dead or as a wight in Game of Thrones. They'd save money by not having to apply any makeup or prosthetics to make him look like a desiccated corpse.
I get the impression Hamilton has spent so much time in his mind and placing attention on it that he's neglected his body. Hope he adapts a more holistic approach to life for his own sake.
This documentary should have been done by someone that was not suffering from retardation. It would have been so much better if he could have articulated ..anything. Seriously, I came here to learn something
I've seen Hamilton be so elevated on so many levels. I wish he'd take me with for a change. Hamilton, if you're reading this, I'll let you experiment on me for Vice. Pay me in food and experiences.
lol this guys so in his head he can barely have a conversation. He is probably juggling 10 different concepts in his mind that only .5 of one comes out.
This makes floating look so scary. Just go to any other float facility besides this one and it’s the most relaxing thing you’ll ever experience. Helped me so much with physical pain. Plot twist, I was sober
For a moment while peaking from lsd I had suggested that if I were in some sort of strong isolation that I'd have had an incredible trip even more so than the fantastic experience I had going out otherwise #Tank
I saw this giant eye appear in the tank while I was sober. Looked crystal clear. Freaked me out lol. It seemed to communicate with me after. Craziest experience of my life. I think about it every day lol. Anyone else see the giant eye?
I made one of these years ago, you have to spend a lot of money for the proper salt (epsom), it's a great thing to have at home but my tinnitus is so bad now it would just drive me crazy in there.
Veetay If you're talking about mindfulness meditation, then I can tell you that the goal is not to fill your head with visions. The goal is to increase your ground awareness.
Joe is cool, I remember hearing him cast about this particular subject a few times at the time I wanted to see what it was all about and I still am interested, but the cost has got to be sickening man.
As crazy and crash seems, he also seems like a really intelligent dude. He turned a legit therapy is a thriving business and seems well educated and did his research on the subject and didn’t just make some janky weird contraption.
Joe is so amazing human beings. I dont know him but he has teach me so much. I hope one time I can me3 him in person. Thank you you for teaching and sharing your knowledge.
7:18 "You guys done some acid before?... How do you like that stuff?...Yeah, get the clean acid. Get if from a RELIABLE source." -Crash, with an obvious hint.
I was already in a weird state of mind coming into this video, so listening to joe rogan and this crash guy talk makes me feel crazy or like i'm having a stroke.. and poor hamiltons just skeptically navigating this whole situation lol
Great to see Hamilton finally sharing the private and personal aspects of his psychonautic explorations. Previously he just seemed like a dumb kid looking for special effects. Now we can see that he has both a sense of humor and a meaningful purpose in what he does.
Joe is the single most driving figure in the industry? That's really strange, cause when he showed up on this video, I'm like, "the fuck is he here for?"
You really should, Ignore most of what Hamilton does here though. A 60 to 90 minute session is what is normally done, a little weed helps let go and relax. You do not need 8 hours, acid and a pot cookie the size of your friggen head!
hahaha, i'm not into drugs but you do you man, that's cool with me (not that it matters if it is, or isnt). I was looking to do this because of the effects on physical recovery without the hallucinogenics.... I can only imagine how you'd feel after a workout then going to do this.
Haha I like this guy, you can tell he's not trying to be something he's not, he just is. We have enough douche bags running around making documentaries. You can tell he just goes with the flow, he definitely isn't scripted. Im sure this would be the same way I acted if I got high as hell off edibles and had to talk to weirdos.
Kids these days , been there done that ...well sorta In the late 1970's West L A had the first float center on Wilshire Blvd , I'm sure fully inspired by John Lilly who may have still been living in Malibu. I drove out from east of East LA where I grew up and gave it a try. Came out realizing I would enjoy it much better if I gave up coffee so went on a caffeine fast. Second session came out and it was like a born again freshness after glow of great LSD trip and all on the natch. Never made it back for the further enhanced sessions , was too far to go and too expensive but still unforgettable. I'm gonna say Lilly's first tank LSD stories are the best now and see if I change my mind after watching.
Cant even take this seriously. The guy is blazed for 3/4ths of the video and they talk about weed and other drugs more than they do the flotation device. I found no credibility in him saying "Cash has the most advanced flotation devices in the world" when the presenter sounds like hes stoned and then goes off and talks about dropping acid. This could have been done SO much better.
