I told my husband the day of the verdict to watch this.. not a damn one of them showed any remorse! This is the kind of people we have teaching out kids and we wonder what is wrong with our children!!

Are you kidding me? What a slap in the face of these jurors who put their lives on hold for this trial and worked so hard to come to a decision! What a slap in the face of ALL the children these so called educators FAILED who have been failed for their life time!! JUDGE do your JOB and sentence these nitwits! THE JURY HAS SPOKEN!! I don't care if they are pink or purple they DID COMMIT CRIMES! EVERYONE of the protestors should be ASHAMED of themselves! WHO is going to go back and teach these children 10 years worth of education they were CHEATED out of?? Throw away the key and let them teach the inmates in prison! SMH If I were a juror I would be at your bench in the morning asking the Judge what in the hell I wasted my precious time for!

Your father taught you to read at 2 1/2 years old? Then why didn't he just teach the children, his students? If your father believed that a child could learn anywhere, then why did he believe that he needed to cheat the children, his students? Why didn't he just teach the children?

Is it just me or was this judge repeatedly offering the defense hints on how they could avoid a harsh sentence? I didn't go to law school, but I know a hint when I hear it, especially one this palpably obvious and repeated this many times. If there are any law people here, please do correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that judge was throwing them lifeline after lifeline to try to help them out, but the defense lawyers were either too dense to notice or too stubborn to take it.

Why is this lawyer trying to get the judge to address matters at sentencing that should be handled by the Court of Appeals? These lawyers are truly sad. Sad, sad, sad!

You can't give an admission of guilt, but you can say you are sorry? Save it! All the tears and the theatrics, save it! Who will cry for the children????

I have a lot of respect for Judge Baxter!!!!!!!!!!! He acknowledged on the record, in open court, before a room full of people, media, etc., that he spoke VERY, VERY badly to the district attorney (who is a dear friend of his) in his chambers, and he apologized SEVERAL times in his courtroom for doing so. And the district attorney accepted his apology. He certainly did NOT have to do that on the record, in open court, for others to see. But he did, and that speaks volumes to his character. It is truly unfortunate that the convicted defendants could not acknowledge and accept responsibility for what they had done, an apologize to the students, their parents, and the community, on the record, in open court, before the judge and others, what they had done. The convicted felons and their lawyers, arrogant, ignorant ingrates, are truly a disgrace!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay Andrew Young, enough already! You, like the convicted defendants, are trying to make light of what has happened. You just do not want to acknowledge, you do not want to accept, that the convicted defendants have done wrong.
