Nice video. Just wanted to add that you can drain the water from the Magnaclean via a drain plug that's at the bottom of the housing. Yours might be difficult to access as it's installed quite low but it can be opened with the other end of the lid spanner you use in the video instead of using suction device.
Common issue is that the canister won't detach from the valves. If can’t access lid and bottom plug of cannister to clean (due to being installed in limited access areas) or if one of 2 valves need replaced, you have to change the cannister and both valves. The cost of replacement valves and cannister exceed the cost of a completely new unit. In other words, if you can’t get into the cannister in situ to clean or either of the 2 valves need replaced, you need to replace the whole unit!!!!!! Hi there. Just wondering. Once you have put the cleaner in. Shouldn’t one do a drain of the whole system after a week to get rid of all the gunk instead of having it run around your system for months? Even though the magnaclean gets rid of the magnetic bits it doesn’t attract the sludge Cheers for the vid ☝️
Two questions. 1. Do you have to drain one radiator in order to make space for the inhibitor? 2. Does 1L fit in the filter without draining down a radiator?
Depends what system you have, but the way i did it was to empty the magnaclean of water once isolated. You can then fill approx 500ml then put everything back on and repeqt process again to get the 2nd 500ml in.
Noel Bourke don’t listen to this comment , it does not hold 1L as per the commenters question. It’s about 500ml any more and it overflows when reassembling
