I listened Chopin by Horowitz, Richter, Abado, Pollini, and many others, but Seong-Jin Cho is absolutely the best performer due to his deep study of the composers.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ성진초가 국민들의 귀를 엄청 높여놓음...다들 예선 주자들 연주 듣다가 빡쳐서 온듯...ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 근데 cfx 인가? 분위기가 본선과 사뭇 다르네...가장 긴장 했다고 한 1라운드부터...최고였음!!!👍👍👍

He is the forever winner of all time. I've been watching the 18th preliminary Morning and evening session but no one could play like Cho Sung Jin. His technic and interpretation of Chopin are out of this world. From the beginning, his performance could tell he could be a winner of this competition. BRAVO CHO!!!

I take it back, a few ones in session 2 of the 14th were decently good. and the preliminary rounds hasn't even finished yet I'm sure there will be more impressive ones

@@SZ-wb1qb I have been watching day and night session form the beginning but so far on one is play like Cho, so came back to 2015 preliminary to find out how's Cho was playing and of course Cho's interpret and skills that no one could copy. yes, some are play very good but overall cannot compete with Cho. Cho is genius and maybe reincarnated Chopin.

There are other pianist who pass directly to the first stage, Avery Gagliano and Evren Ozel are to of them from USA, 1st and 2nd at The National Chopin Piano Competition of the United States

정말 많이들은 우리 조 피아니스트의 예선 연주. 정말 오랜만에 들어와 에튀드 10번 무심코 듣는데 또 울컥하며 눈물이 나려한다. 진짜 뭘 무심코 들어도 순수한 음악 그자체를 전달하는 조의 음악을 남은평생 좋아할거에요..^^

이건뭐 음반 레코딩 수준일세 4:30부터 10초간은 진짜 뭉개지기 쉬운데 여길 이렇게 어마어마 깔끔하게 ...ㅠㅜ 연주를 너무 잘해서 곡이 너무 슬프다

쇼콩21 예선 듣다가 왔어요.. 과하지 않은 루바토에 작품해석, 정교한 터치와 호흡 특히, 진심으로 즐기는듯한 연주 태도가 아직까지도 제 눈과 귀엔 조성진이 최고네요. 매번 들을때마다 황홀하다.

예전에 마우리치오 폴리니 에튀드, 프렐루드 CD를 엄청 들었었는데, 완전 다른 연주네요. 조성진님 연주는 물이 흐르는 듯한, 엄청 부드러운데, 모든 음이 더 선명하게 들리는 ....진짜 귀 호강 합니다.

조성진 피아니스트의 연주를 듣다보면 저절로 몰입이 되서 시공도 잊고 우주같은 연주홀 객석에 나만 앉아서 듣고 있는 것만 같다 쇼팽은 언제나 어려웠는데 이런 서사를 듣게 해주셔서 감사합니다 두손으로 오케스트라급 연주가 가능하시네요 섬세함과 웅장함이 정말 모든이가 감탄할만 합니다

볼때마다 느끼는거지만 인간이 아님.. 저 쇼팽 콩쿨때는 피아노의 신이 들어앉아서 같이 연주하고 도와주고 있는게 확실함. 다른 연주자는 인간계인데. 조성진은 천상계임. 3차원과 4차원처럼 차원계가 다름.

I've literally surveyed the whole preliminary rounds of the competition who played Op. 10 No. 1, and no one played it nearly as a fluidly as Cho did. (28:49) It's just crazy how good his technique is with this insanely difficult etude.

I went back to watch all the Etude Op 10 No 1, and he has the best dynamic, clarity and easiness. Superb! I love his Nocturne op 48 no 1 too. Best I've heard so far and he's very consistent and has the best delivery of emotion.

Everytime this piece comes up I remember a small debate I had with some random guy in a comment section, who claimed that Op.10 No.1 was far from the most difficult etude hahahah. It's so deceiving.

@@franciscoferraz6788 well, I know where it's coming from. It really isn't that hard to read it and memorize, so that dude had some point However, when you're nervous while performing, this piece is really killer, cuz every single note will be heard

쇼콩21듣다 회귀본능 일으켜 다시 성진님의 곡을 듣게 되었다. 왜지? 결론은 쵸팽이다! 영혼을 갈아넣지 않으면 안되는 것이였다 저 건반을 터치하는 섬세한 손가락에서도 감정과 표정을 느낄 수 있다!

Actually, he received an email from Zimerman after finishing his final round. Cho was the first player out of ten, and no other finalists had played yet. Also, Kyung-Wha Chung said, "As soon as Seong-Jin Cho's performance at the final round was over, Krystian Zimerman sent me a text message, 'Who the hell is this guy? It's gold!'" :)

오래전부터 지금까지 꾸준히 조성진씨의 쇼팽 콩쿨 처음부터 우승파이널까지 전부 보고 왔습니다. 와.. 역시 예선전도 장난아니네요 오랫동안 조성진씨의 곡 듣다보면 성진씨가 연주한건 이제 다 구별 할 수 있는 능력이 생겼습니다...ㅎㅎ 예선전에서는 야마하네요 소리가 날카롭고 또렷한 느낌이네요 색다른 느낌이라 너무 좋아요.

너무다좋지만 자꾸들어보니 마주르카가이렇게 좋은곡이였나싶을정도로 너무아름답다 마주르카는 내가 칠때도 흥미가떨어져서 들을때도 넘겨듣곤했는데… 이렇게칠수도있는곡이였다니 새삼 달래 예술의경지에 오른게 아니구나싶다

연령이 믿기지않는 침착성 있는 연주 설정. 절대 급하게 밀어내지 않음. 흐트러짐 전혀 없는 안정감에 지나친 아고기그나 테투토는 사양하고. 내면에서 뜨거운 공기를 팽창해나가는 일관성이 고득점을 얻은거 같습니다. 예선에서는 함부르그제 Steinway 거부하고 YAMAHA CFX로 쇼부 ! 2010년 아디애바 (아제바) 와 유사한거 보니 분명 Chopin Competition는 원하는 스탄스가 있네요.

Very relaxing to listen to this performance. Really does play Chopin well as well as other composers that I've heard. Heard him play Beethovens 4th piano concerto at the Lanaudiere festival with Yannick Nezet Seguin and he was excellent. An amazing young artist.

저도 연주영상만 보면 너무 완벽하게 쳐서 긴장을 많이 안하나보다 생각했는데, 라운드 전체 영상으로 보면 시작하기 전에 굉장히 많이 떠시는게 느껴지더라구요 저도 그거보고 아 조성진님도 떨리긴 하나보구나 생각했어요 다만 떨리는데 어떻게 저렇게 치지..? 다시 신기했오요 ㅋㅋ 감기도 걸렸다고 하셨었는데, 콧물도 훌쩍이시더라구요 그런 와중에 그렇게 멋진 연주를 했다는게 정말 대단해요

Comparing Cho's sound during preliminary round (smaller hall, smaller piano) with people playing in Chopin competition in final stage this year is such a contrast. Not the same level from every aspect.

다들 쇼팽 콩쿨 보다가 오시는구낭...ㅎㅎㅎ 이곡 조성진처럼 잘 연주하는 분은 이번 콩쿨엔, 아직 없는듯....시끄럽거나 거슬리는 음이나 소리 하나 없는 감동적이고 완벽한 연주....조성진은 그야말로 세기의 인물이 될것임!!...하..조성진 아내는 누가 될지......벌써 부럽당 ㅎㅎ

13:40 until 14:10 when he played here it sounded so light touch like he just glided over the notes like air

In my opinion this was really excellent, in every way. The choice of repertoire, great way to start, great way to leave. Pieces chosen really show lots of contrasts and capacities of the performer to change the various technical aspects of piano playing. Plus, the guy seems to almost never think about any technical aspect, he's totally free to just think/feel what the performance needs at that moment and the body follows immediately. No barriers what so ever. Pretty sure some of the judges knew he would get into the finals after this round.

Having just listened to the bulk of the Preliminaries of 2021 I decided to see why Cho won the 2015 competition. Not very hard to work that out. How very refreshing. I recognized only 2 performers in this year's competition as worthy successors. October will tell.

That is BY FAR the best performance of the c minor Norturne I have ever heard. Bravo. It is so easy to get caught up in the drama of the piece and the many mood changes that you lose the cohesiveness of it all. Well done!
