Thank you so much for posting. My 2007 Honda Accord center console armrest cover needed replacing. It was worn out and dirty. I purchased a new leatherette cover but couldn't figure out how to separate the two pieces. Your video answered my question. Thank you.
Thank you so much. Managed to separate the parts after several tries. I used 2x 12-inch metal rulers to be sure - One to each side. Works perfectly for Accord Euro-R CL7R. The alcantara fabric would accumulate dead skin cells over time and hence I need to wash it on a bi-yearly basis.
you're a fricken GENIUS. I used these plastic black shims I got at Home Depot, didn't work all that great, Buuuut..... they did work (7" long). Unfortunately for me, I ended up breaking those 2 tiny plastic catches. Oh well, at least I won't have to do THIS again. Thanks for posting this.
this works when your piece is in between, pull up a little and works like a charm. i used a cut up license plate to wedge in between. broken one took a few replays, second one came off the first try
What are the two clips next to the pen holder supposed to store? I'm assuming business cards or folded cash or something like that but I can't find any info that actually states what they are meant to do and I don't want to risk my things falling inside if I am assuming incorrectly!
I have a 2009 Honda Civic( similar type of slid lid) It looks like I can take off in car just replacing the cover lid .Can you tell me the size of plastic strip? The lid has been sitting in my back seat for about 6 months there are two screws that I can't get screwdriver over to unscrew so this looks like this is what I need to do?
I found that if I used a long thin flat-head screw driver and slipped it between the two groves of the lid, it released. Groves clearly seen on lid after 1:17 time mark.
hi, if I try to buy arm rest lock, the 2 pieces plastic in front end of the arm rest of the part you are showing. if you know any link to buy that part please share to me. I do appreciate.
Good video but there's no need for a tool. I just removed mine to replace the cover. Slide a small blade or thin piece of metal between the armrest and the slider. Just gently pop the right or left side upward and you'll see it move up. Then just slide it off. Removal in 30 seconds.
