Someone in the attic is honestly just a basic generic thriller that you will have read 100 times before. It’s nothing new or exciting so I don’t think you’re missing out by not picking it back up. I am so glad that you loved We Used to Live Here… it’s become my favourite horror book! Absolutely loved it

Loved We Used to Live Here. I thought the factual snippets interspersed between chapters really helped give it an eerie almost found-footage feel. Very clever premise without over-confusing things.

I also read "the night guest" and was disappointed by it (gave it 2,5 stars as well) and "darling girls", it was my first book by this author and I really loved it because of the sister relationship and how they grew as characters ! I read someone in the attic because I saw you mention it in one of your videos and I had a fun time with it! It wasn't a favorite but it wasn't bad either. It's like when you're watching your favorite tv show mindlessly and it's not your favorite episode but you still enjoy it? Hopefully that makes a little sense. I did see someone else say that her earlier books were better so I'll have to look into them!
