Honestly, I'm all for the turning Mika back into a human, but I don't really know how that would actually work out. If we can actually trust in anything Guren says about the resurrection then one of the people involved in the spell, which obviously is gonna be Yuu, will be cursed with eternal life. Then we end up in a situation where Yuu becomes immortal and Mika becomes human, and I would not consider this a happy ending as they would only get one lifetime together before Yuu's forced into eternal loneliness, I reaaaally don't want this to happen. For Mika & Yuu to have a happy ending they both somehow need to survive as either humans/immortals. The only 'happy' endings I can possibly conceive is that Yuu and Mika either 1: Both becomes human somehow and spend the rest of their remaining lifespan together, or 2: Both of them becomes Immortal, Mika somehow becomes an Angel/Seraph or w/e he originally was and retains his memories and emotions while Yuu performs the magic and becomes an Immortal human/demon/seraph hybrid or whatever he is, with his mind and emotions intact so that they both can stay together for eternity in either a ruined world or a world that they somehow managed to save alongside themselves through a 3rd option we're not aware of yet. Either way, I wish and hope they both manage to escape from their current predicament and run away for the time being. They need alot of time together away from external influence to figure out their memories & feelings for each other, figure out what to do with Ashera, figure out their new powers & actually train so they can be stronger, maybe actually study and learn some magic so they are not completely clueless and can eventually perform the resurrection themselves if needed, take their time to understand their situation and all plots going on and figure out how to become 'chess players' themselves without being taken advantage of so that they can actually start walking down the path leading to their own happy ending. And for all of this they seriously need to get as far away from everyone as possible, maybe run away from Japan overseas to buy themselves some time while letting everyone else deal with whatever internal strife that is bound to happen between all parties after Mika & Yuu manages to run away. Would also be interesting to see what's actually going on in the rest of the world, there might be some unexpected allies/friends/possibilities to be found, or just more worldbuilding. Mika & Yuu seriously need a break from all bullshit. But one thing's for sure, Mika & Yuu needs to get away from everyone's control and become the main characters they are suppose to be. However, if they want to manage to run away Yuu is most likely gonna need to use his Seraph power and/or get external help somehow. But the biggest obstacle right now is sadly Mika, unless Mika stops his destructive behaviour of self-sacrifice for Yuu's sake I don't see how they will manage to get out of this situation. And honestly, getting Mika to snap out of it shouldn't even be that hard theoretically. Though it's mostly the MikaYuu fanboy in me speaking now, but I believe if Yuu would only give an answer to Mika's confession in chapter 90 and tell him that he actually loves him then Mika might actually come to realise that his deepest desire of being together with Yuu is not actually impossible, that his happy ending can still be realized, that there's no need to give up yet so that he can cling on to that hope and be honest with himself that ha wants to live. Therefore there's still a small hope in me that we'll get Yuu's confession in one of the upcoming chapters, but I really don't dare to be too hopeful. Also, the whole "is Yuu being controlled or not" argument is stupid in itself, his priority and reason for living has always been Mika, if Yuu's actually being controlled and these feelings he have for Mika are all fabricated, then has he ever even been himself from the beginning? If these feelings he has is not his own, then what is his own in the first place, Yuu wouldn't even be able to recognize himself anymore and would probably want to die even more. These feelings he has for Mika is what makes Yuu who he is and what's lead him to this point, without them he would be nothing, and that's beyond terrifying.
You summed up pretty much all my feelings and fears in this comment! Regarding Yu’s feelings for Mika, I kind of think his feelings are real but he’s playing into Shikama’s hands, like the fact that his love for Mika is so strong works to Shikama’s advantage.
@@ARTEMIAZ Yesterdays enemy is today's friend, aslong as their goals align there's a possibility for a temporary truce. Atleast both sides don't want whatever it is Guren wants which is a good start so doesn't really matter if Yuu plays into Shikamas hands or not, once all external problems are gone and their desired outcomes differ they can always turn against each other again. I'm also still really curious about what Shikamas feelings toward the current Mika are. Is he truly only interested in resurrecting his old Mika or is he starting to get a soft spot for the current Mika too? Is there any chance that he might have a change of heart and change his original plan to accommodate the current Mika & Yuu, since he clearly grew to have some sort of soft spot/affection for the younger Yuu even though he might have only created him as some sort of sacrifice, can Yuu and Mikas affection towards each other affect Shikama. Or is there perhaps something more to the resurrection of Mikaela that he has not told us yet? Is it some kind of obsession? One thing i've been thinking about is why it is that the vampires get to keep their most valuable emotion/desire while losing everything else, why would the angels/god make such a curse. Could it be that the so called 'curse' is not just a pure curse without redemption? What if one could obtain some kind of redemption by fulfilling ones deepest desire and that that's also a reason why Shikama's so hell bent on resurrecting the old Mika, as that is his greatest desire and while he wants to get his Mikaela back he also want's to obtain redemption from the curse somehow. I don't remember, has there ever been a case of a vampire fulfilling their desires? I know some vampires have ridiculous desires such 'excitement' that would be close ot impossible to completely fulfill. I'm just really curious if there would be some kind of immense effect on Mika if Yuu ever were to actually confess to him since that would most likely fulfill his his desires. Would there be some kind of powerboost that could help them get out of their current predicament? Ah, i'm just rambling random thoughts/theories I have now since i'm a new reader who just started reading & caught up to the manga just a few days ago.
I agrre on your opinions especially on yuu should tell his feeling for mika/give an answer to mika’s confession i think(or hope…) that will solve the problem

Feel free to keep going 😁 On Shikama becoming fond of current Mika- I don’t think Shikama has had a chance to really speak to current Mika yet- they’ve fought in battle but not talked to each other properly 🤔 Actually, he’s never spoken to Mika at all has he? Ancient Mika never spoke to Shikama, seemingly out of choice 🤔 I’m wondering if it’s because ancient Mika knew of Shikama’s intentions to sacrifice Yu to bring him back, and he decided he wanted nothing to do with his parent! What I’m thinking is that Shikama has likely built up an idea of who Mikaela is in his mind- ie: his precious son, his seraph child- but Shikama has never properly interacted with Mika so likely doesn’t know ‘who’ Mika really is. Unless he can see Yu and Mika’s memories somehow? Also, does Shikama want Mikaela back to use him for something (like a weapon), or does he want him back just because he loves the idea of having a child of his own that he created? Many unknowns. The curse also is so interesting, and the idea of redemption you bring up 🤔 but then if Shikama plans to make Yu a sacrifice to bring Mika back, it sounds to me like he wants to pass his curse across to Yu so Shikama can be free of it? So he wouldn’t be redeemed, just making Yu a scapegoat 🤔 Shikama has also expressed that he wants to die though - so maybe to bring Mika back that includes Shikama having to die as one of the vampires- and that will be his ‘redemption’?

I really get the feeling Yu is partially under his Seraph’s influence in this chapter- not just the eyes but in his speech as well, so I’m not sure how much Yu is consciously aware of how he’s saying those words. We’re all scared! 😬 as always 😂
I don’t think Yuu is under the influence of his Seraph here (otherwise he would’ve had wings, his wings are always there when it’s Seraph possession), also Yuu looks conscious of what’s happening throughout the whole chapter imo, his dialogue with Ashera suggests so (when he explains that he won’t give up on Mika even if he dies or that he isn’t controlled), Ashera himself doesn’t treat him as he treats Yuu’s Serpah, he treats him as he treats Yuu. Also I’ve read that CAT16 shows that black eyes might appear when you use your demon (Mika in Yuu’s case) so I don’t think Seraph form is here yet >

He’s calling Mika ‘Mikaela’ almost the whole time and he also calls ‘Ashera’ by name which he never does- and then there’s the panel where Ashera complains about angels being disrespectful- he’s thinking about Shikama but he’s looking at Yu. 🤔 Maybe we get full King of Salt next chapter 😁🤞
How did Guren know about the price of resurrection; and humanity and Mika conflict of interest? Even Urd and Saito was clueless though they knew Shikama purpose to save his son.
Great question. Maybe Ferid knew because Ferid was a failed Mikaela candidate? We still don’t know what that actually means tho… or maybe Mahiru knew and told Guren? Mahiru was a Hiragi, The Hiragis have been possessed by Shikama for centuries and Mahiru once was a host for Shikama right? 🤔

We’re all here for the Mika/Shika reunion, so hyped for this 💕🙌 Honestly I don’t know what to think about the logistics of Guren’s plan. It could be he’s consumed with righting his wrongs and ‘winning’ against Shikama that he hasn’t considered the practicalities. But then again, Guren is a character that tries to meticulously plan everything- so I’m wondering if his resurrection plan actually would fix the state of the world as a whole (or at least Guren believes it will lol)- maybe almost like resetting the world to a point in the past before everything went wrong?
I think that Yu may lose against Ashera, but only to give him the opportunity to win by unleashing his seraph form to compensate for not having Ashera's power. I agree that the story is left in a weird spot if Yu outright loses. I also think that transformation would give Mika and Yu an opportunity to reconcile (I feel this has to happen as Mika exists inside Yu) as the angels will likely notice seraph Yu and attack, and Mika might concede to protect him.
Ooo I like this idea!! So maybe not an outright win for Yu- I think I’d prefer that to be honest, out of respect for Ashera. I’m also not a fan of overpowered MCs who fluke their way through fights at the right moment because the plot demands (although in Yu’s case it feels like it goes too much in the opposite direction sometimes- he’s yet to win a fight with proper stakes and consequences…). I like the idea of the angels attacking… although didn’t they come after Shikama last time around? I got the impression they were drawn in by Mika and Yu ‘merging’ but they didn’t attack Mika or Yu directly 🤔 I really hope we end up with Mika possessing Yu in the near future, maybe to hold his seraph back?. It was foreshadowed in 110.
@@ARTEMIAZ I agree, I think it would feel a little too easy for Yu to win against Ashera, a very powerful chatacter, for the sake of The Plot when he has no demon power to use. I think it would make sense for him to have to resort to something more extreme, like going full seraph, to turn the tables. I had forgotten that the angels went after Shikama and not Mika and Yu 🤔 I lose track of what angers Heaven, but I assume that the closer Yu comes to being a seraph, the more likely he is to draw their ire? I agree, I think Mika is foreshadowed to possess Yu. And I think the most likely scenario is that he does so to protect Yu, so I think the fight has to continue to escalate against Yu's favour (even if he wins out in the end). Unless, of course, Mika is to possess Yu at another time in the future...
There is one thing I am really suspicious of. Like, when Guren brought his friends back to life, it was mentioned that they only will live for 10 years. Is that rule goes for the rest of humanity too? They can live only ten years too? Then is that really any meaning in Guren's plan, if everyone gonna die in the end no matter what??? Why did everyone forget this? Or why Guren don't tell this them??? This fact gets me really nerveous. I have a thought that maybe Guren is doing all of this for himself. Because his squad is gonna die in the future, he has to do something! Or his plan is including his friends too? But they are not "dead". I really want to hope that Guren is doing this for the humanity, but I can't take it out of my head. Or maybe I understood Guren's plan wrong. Whataver, I am so excited for new chapter! Yes that 10 year rule is bothering me too! I think the squad know about it- they were definitely told that if they speak about the revival in front of Shinya and the others then they will all die again. (Chapter 60-ish) I do think that Guren genuinely plans for humanity to be revived- we know Guren carries a ton of guilt about what he did and wants to fix it, but I don’t think he’s doing it /specifically/ for humanity- I think reviving humanity is his secondary goal after extending his squad’s lives. 🤔

@@ARTEMIAZ 2 weeks later back to give my thoughts: I think it could go either way for who wins the fight. Someone mentioned that after the drug takes affect Yuu might go seraph mode, if that happens I'd love to see a parallel back to the first time the seraph was awakened where Shinoa hugs Yuu and he regains his senses, this time being that he doesn't get pulled out after a hug and he almost kills everyone. I rekon Saito and the gang are going to where Guren and the squad are just because the truck they're in now is very reminiscent of the one Ferid was driving earlier. I think the vampires will team up with Guren because his plan both kills all the vampires and also prevents Mikaelas resurrection, but who knows if they'll stop for a nice chat when they arrive to hear that. Also Mikas gotta be in next chapter it's the 10th anniversary they can't not show him. Also you're bit about cult leaders and the "I love you guys" was so scarily accurate felt like I was at a cult meeting A++ (and yes very fun wedding the bride picked me up and I had 15 vodkas and coke, then I slept on the floor cause England was very warm that week)

So if yuu represents human love, and mika represents pure love. Does that mean shinoa represents toxic love? Because in chapter 120, shinoa says "Whatever the case i will get yuichrio back, even if i have to kill mikaela to do it" that definitely gives off yandere vibes.
Shikama look's really looked pretty suspicious to me in this chapter! And I think that Noya and Lest Karr are gonna appear in (Chapter 118) because they was there on the cover page in (chapter 115) and Shikama might make his next move and escape the prison usin his Angel powers, Sadly we did not get any Flash Back about Noya so we dont really know anything about him and he is a very mysterious Noya is a Mysterious Demon. Not only Noya, I wanna know more about the other Black Demons! It will be very interesting to know how their back story will be like as well! But for now lets see what will happen between Yu and Ashera and how Yu will save both Mika and Krul from their suffering. Let the plot continue for now! Lets see what will happen next in (Chapter 118) since its going to be ONS 10th Anniversary. Now let me tell you how to prepare for the next chapter just "Expect The Unexpected" 😁 Yep that's it!

Also really cant agree with this idea that mikas love is the idealistic version when yuu and mika switched again in terms of mika being the selfish one and yuu being the selfless one to mika being the selfless one and yuu being the selfish one
Thanks for commenting ☺️ I agree that Guren does on some level genuinely care for Yu (and the other kids in Shinoa squad)- there’s no denying that from Guren’s expressions in some of the panels- but their relationship is complicated/twisted 😅 The way I see it, everyone in Seraph has someone they’re willing to betray everyone else for. For Guren he puts Shinya and his squad mates above everyone else. I think he genuinely wants to fix his mistake in ending the world, and also has grown fond of Yu as he’s been looking after him; but when it comes down to it, Guren is driven by his desire to protect his squad and extend that 10 year limit. His love for Yu seems to only go so far, like: ‘You’re a good kid, I wish I didn’t have to do this, but tough luck- Mika or humanity?’ After all, Guren arranged the murder of the Hyakuya orphans with Ferid, sliced Mika in half and is now trying to force Yu to follow his plan. It seems to me that Guren’s care for Yu was probably accidental- he had to train little Yu up and in the process grew to care about him, but their relationship was tainted from the start 😔 As for Guren’s love for the Shinoa squad, I think it’s pretty similar- he cares about them as students, yes, but he originally only got them all together for the Plan.
@@yuunoaboi21 Not entirely sure what you mean with this, sorry! 😅 I think the story is deliberately critical of /all/ the characters’ motives and there isn’t a ‘perfect’/ ‘good’ person in Seraph. I think Mika was designed to mislead us- he was put up on a pedestal as an ideal, selfless character, but he isn’t deep down. He’s in a ton of pain and plays off his sacrifices as selfless because he thinks he knows what’s best for Yu. As for Yu, he’s initially portrayed as the flawed and selfish human, but I feel like the writing might be supporting that. 🤔 He’s human, flawed but at least honest with himself and acts with honesty about what he wants, unlike Mika.

Does that really change anything Lets be completely honest You want the ressurection because you want mika to live Also its because you say that mikas love is idealistic in the sense that its selfless but i seriously can never see it that way outside of few choice moments because whenever i think of mikas love one sentence always pops ti mind and its "I love you and you make me feel better si im going to force you to live even if it means killing everyone and everything you love so long as youre alive i dont care" In other words Mika doesnt care about yuus happiness as long as yuu is alive and healthy thats enough for him because thats what makes mika feel good At least till these recent chapters And gurens love for shinoa squad i cant talk about yoichi and mitsuba but what about shinoa and kimizuki it cant just be students and even then.
