Presented by John Hobday it features Bernard Monshin and his Rio Tango Band, The South Sea Serenaders led by Ernest Penfold, the Sidney Bright Trio and singer Julie Dawn.

What a delight to listen again after over 60 years to this late night radio programme from the days when the BBC played REAL music! I always enjoyed listening to Bernard Monshin and His Rio tango Band, but more especially to Ernest Penfold's South Sea Serenaders' small group which featured Dennis Brown on Hawaiian steel guitar, in which on this broadcast he plays "A Song of Old Hawaii", "Drifting Dreaming" and "Sweet Hawaiian Kisses". It was largely thanks to Dennis's fine playing which encouraged me to take up the steel guitar all those years ago!! Nostalgia of special significance to me...

I listen to Relaxing Classics through the night . On Classic FM . Introduced by the most chilled voice in the known universe that of . Margarita Taylor. This mans voice is more chilled. I enjoyed it all.
