Sergei Nakariakov (1977) is a Russian-Israeli virtuoso trumpeter residing in Paris, France, who came to prominence in the late 1990s. He released his first CD recording in 1992 at the age of 15. He is considered one of the greatest trumpeters of all time.
Oskar Böhme (1870-1938) was a German/Russian trumpeter and composer. In 1902 he wrote his magical short bravura piece for cornet, 'La Napolitaine', Op. 25, which is now often used as teaching material for advanced students, but is also performed by great soloists.
