Thank you so much!! My serger has mystified me in so many ways! This video was helpful in both new techniques and confirming things I was doing but not sure if it was “correct “.

I can never remember which thread to pull for unraveling 🙄. Thanks for a very good view of what to pull. On curves I've found the curve foot on my Baby Lock Evolution works really well. It doesn't apply as much pressure. Enjoyed your video!

Thank you for the video. Do you have any advice or another tutorial on how to serge a very sharp (30°-45°) inner corner? It's hard to fold/ bunch up the fabric that much...I do make a small cut... thanks in advance!!

Stitch on a regular machine first then cut into the seam allowance all the way to the stitching line at the corner.

Hi Melly could you spray fray spray on it

I don't personally use fray check, so I couldn't say.

I am a rookie but am not understanding why you lift the needles out of the fabric on that first method of weaving in the ends. Wouldn't that lose orientation and cause possible gaps in the stitching? Can that same technique be done with the needles down?

If you don't pick up the needles, you can't pull the thread enough to pull the ends under. As overlocking is generally a seam finish for the inside of a garment and not visible on the outside, I don't worry about small stitching gaps. If you are concerned by them, choose a different method to weave in ends.

It goes so fast. Are you able to go slow on a server or does it always just "take off"?

Sergers sew faster than regular sewing machines but the video is sped up as well.
