In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

She really was an amazing guest. I died how she turned an innocent question from alex into some devious fetish search. So many times in series 6 she'd just puff out some effortless phrase and i'd erupt into laughter. Or when she ran away laughing after making alex sit on a cake, she couldn't even look him in the face. So glad she did the show.

@@josguil I was thinking exactly that. I do wear my favourite colour quite a lot, because it happens to look good on me. But that isn't always the case and purple in particular is one of those colours that are, well, particular. Lisa and purple really don't quite mesh in my mind, it would definitely need to be a specific shade of purple. So while it had the energy of bluffing, it still seemed at least quite plausible to me.

@@turkeysnot1 this form of the eggs is banned in couple of countries (not just the us), and it's not bc of eating the shell fast, but the possibility of accidental swallow of plastic parts (which honestly is bs, aint no small child can pop open that toy container alone. The ones who died of it had the loose plastic bits by them already out of the plastic container - which isn't supposed to be there near them

In the Carol task, the room had other TM envelopes in background, and I thought they had details about things in common with Carol and then you don't have to ask specific questions. I guess they were just set design.

Incase you're still interested in knowing what was in the tasks. Since the contestants couldn't look away from Carol, they'd have to show the tasks to Carol and have her read it out to them. One of them said something along the lines of "if Carol read this out loud you gain bonus points (I can't remember how many)" the other one had "if Carol reads this out loud you lose points (again can't remember how many)"

For receiving a text message, I would be in the same boat as Howard - not enough friends. Chicago has automated announcements of upcoming buses - if you text particular number, and a code for your bus, they'll text back the next arriving bus times. I'd have to go that route.
