Reborn is a custom campaign created by Nonamewtff with the support of Croteam, so it's kinda official (similar to what happened with SS Revolution's Bright Island, I suppose). It takes place in some new environments and brings back old enemies and mechanics, like the powerups, but doesn't feature the skill tree.
The HUD and the tone of the game in general resemble Serious Sam 2, which I didn't like at all for the cartoonish graphics and the demential plot and characters, Sam included, so I sure don't appreciate those aspects of the mod. However, as for the gaming aspects, it's a cool campaign and we thank the creator for it
This first level takes place in a vast forest, nothing really memorable but serves as an introduction. I was especially rusty here with the SS4 graphics and hitboxes (I always play the classic SS games and mods, you know), plus the level is quite dark and makes difficult to see some enemies. Moreover, some parts seem quite unbalanced for Serious difficulty since you have little space, little ammo/pickups and just the starting weapons with many enemies. Nothing impossible, though

I've played this map in blind run at Serious difficulty. When you see the fades, it generally means that I've died there, or that I went back somewhere to pick up some stuff or that I've reloaded 'cause I let myself be hit too much in stupid ways
