Bored and quit. Not enough gold and ore income, mapping mechanic in league is bad shipping is bad late game as your farms don't produce enough per day for more then one shipment per entire day and you can't smith enough because maps hardly contain any ore. If you want to roll an alt Kingsmarch basically halts its progressing. Its a bad league tbh because they set gold and ore drops to be so low, they removed quantity and then made gold replace drops you normally would have gotten, leading to less rares and uniques and currency dropping for people, this I guess is balanced due to the shipping but late game shipping is badly designed.
@@Razahoo7 True for core stuff. But seasonal stuff should certainly be on the more common side (not free, but also not quite as rare as the rarest runes are for example), as more people should be allowed to play around with the stuff that'll only be there for 1 season.
@@MikeSakaru If every league would have different ways to powercreep then what the point of "core"? Powercreep would just repeat itself. And also all of the league items after league end is going to the standart (permacore)
@@El_Cattivo1988yeah, but all the enchantments that open up new interactions are locked behind power and time (huh). The basic enchants are quite farmable, agreed, but at the moment the bigger ones feel more like once-this-league, which is a shame.
@@NerdRobotGamingyeah it's like they didn't consider ssf or private leagues at all. Been playing every day for hours and don't even have a quarter the runes needed for 50-100% inc ele enchant on swords.
The problem with this weapon for me is the insane cost of runesmithing. I feel like the numbers on how many runes you need are just way too high. Can't imagine how anyone in SSF would be able to use these higher level rune enchants
I couldn't imagine doing this league in solo self found, just due to how next to impossible the league mechanics are with how little gold and ore drops and yes how rare the runes are there would be no point to try a build that uses runes. Just farming for one rune enchant would take the entire league and a few more months.
What do you thing would be the price of the weapon with 3 random useful enchantments, when the runes are that expensive? We will have another item next to the mageblood/nimis in terms of price.
I looked at it and came to a similar conclusion - interesting stat stick or vehicle for attribute stacking, but very expensive to get all the runes going. Might be a nice stat stick for Shield Throw/Crush builds. Power Runes are up around 4 div each now though, so it easily becomes a 100div+ stat stick. For Strength stacking, you could just get a Replica Frostbreath and deal double damage. Seems a lot more convenient than worrying about the runes. (And for Volcanic Fissure, there's already Volcanic Fissure of Snaking which is basically the Vaal version - I'm not sure Vaal VF is needed at all.) Don't sleep on +2 range to Strike skills and Strike Skills (sword) deal Splash Damage (claw). Lot of QOL for Strike skills to replace passives/annoints, or to combine with the new Sione's Ambition anoint for lots of range. For the Mana one, neat idea. It's just added damage, no cost, so you could reserve everything and not worry about the leach. Not sure why you would (losing MOM as a defensive layer), but you could.
Well, time to go STR stack elementalist ignite now, or at least I WOULD if the freakin boots didnt cost so much. Now on a more realistic note, mana stacking Elementalist using something like Leap Slam of Groundbreaking would be super potent, event without getting a ton of mana. There's already a build out there that gets like 10m ignite dps with garbage gear, and caps around 25m. However, with the glad change, I also wonder about using the mana stack and Scales of justice and stacking hp and mana to abuse the flat damage with the new dmg effectiveness changes.
Yeah, tbh all of these crazy combos in the video(and most of those not shown in the video too) have crazy cost with the signature uniques and enchantments combined
I got crazy lucky two find Replica Alberon's Warpath in two successive(!) grand heists. But I didn't manage to escape with the second one. Ruined my whole night.
You can't do ignite with replica alberons, as it prevents you from dealing any non-chaos damage. Ignite deals fire damage over time, which cannot occur when using replica alberons
@@Humaricslastcall blackflame doesn't make your ignites deal chaos damage. It makes enemies ignites by you take chaos damage instead of fire damage from ignite. There's a big difference there. That's why you still scale fire damage over time multiplier with it
I’m liking the league a lot. I have always enjoyed melee chars so having badly needed power increase which allows for more build diversity has felt really good. I’m about to test a poison reave pathfinder wielding a dagger. I’m gonna try crit version with perfect agony on a pneumatic dagger. I also want large cluster with unspeakable gifts for the pops. Can’t wait to get it up and running!
I’m currently running double on hit build, the lighting bolt and fire burst poison occultist. Trigger it with herald of lighting and a lot of added damage for poison. Clearing tier 16 with a breeze. Also, you made me feel really stupid, I thought it could have 2 enchantments….not 3! Holy
Battlemage, Fire Burst, and Trigger Fire spell as an elementalist is insane. Battlemage works on Fire Burst and your spell, so you can easily double dip on it. Best way to use it? Firestorm in the trigger, and instead of attacking, use the old Walking Simulator way using Albertaths Hooves, which also gets a bonus from Battlemage. Then use Herald of Thunder with Storm Secret to self hit and have additional spell spam, all of which will trigger the spell in the mace and fire burst. Walk around and delete everything
Saw this video yesterday. Thought, "hey, that's neat." This is my first league not following a guide: running 2H bleed/vaal earthquake. Corrupted a t15 map and got the modifier "your vaal skills have no soul prevention". Game became a walking simulator and the easiest mapping I've ever done in 6 or 7 leagues I've been playing. Now I'm 1000% making a Serle's build, as I've been saving the hell outta runes (have 60+ of each). Just gotta pick a setup/vaal gem.
I think my favourite personally is Glacial Hammer Ignite then using Enchantments for - Fire Burst on hit, Burning enemies explode, 100% phys as extra element. It's a very fun build to try
@leonardolarizza3355 it's coming from cold to fire convert on my Glacial hammer, using Heatshiver as I have alot of added damage, Fire burst also has a added effective damage of 340%. It's mainly a supplement to clear speed as it does help hit the further out mobs to help with clear and also it seems to always burn on hit so that helps the explode. Also first burst can be enhanced with other gems in the slot of the weapon like Combustion, Burning damage + efficacy
This unique mace has captured my interest ever since its reveal, getting it and then also make it do its thing will be very gratifying, but so far at the end of the campain, not having any runes from tier 6 upward makes me question the enchant prices.
Top enchants are around 100divs , you need 15 power runes and so far grinding the league I only got 6 so there is no way you can make serle work with those enchants without payings a lot of divs. Any of those enchants combos is more then 150 divs
Runes being as rare as they are, gold being as little income as it is. Trying to pull this off in one league would be a lot of work and grinding. Probably why the mace is as cheap as it is. Just because trying to put rune enchants on it is so expensive. 1 power rune is like 3 div or more. Some of those later enchants need 15 of them. They give us these interesting options, but then make sure that 99% of people will never see them.
Yeah I don't see why this should work any different to Stranglegasp, and we know that one keeps its anoint enchants even when you brick and mythic it... Is there confirmation somewhere that it fundamentally works different despite being super similar mechanically?
Maybe it's just the builds I've been looking at this league but everything seems to be a stacker these days. Soon the question won't be what build are you playing but what are you stacking? Anyway, yet another interesting video. You're the best POE content creator for build ideas.
I was under the impression of "2 additional enchants" went along with "unique cannot be enchanted" to mean 2 MAX enchants, not 1+2, this is nice to get clarified
Wanted to try that weapon for SST since your weapon is kind of just a stat stick anyway but with the price its really hard to justify. Ended up crafting a dot multi wand since the ghost power is so strong.
On the "Energy Shield Leech Effects from Attacks are not removed at Full Energy Shield" is not very special. You can effectively achieve the same effect on ANY build, by picking up either the Ghost Shroud or Divine Shield keystone, and then balancing your Evasion or Armour to be slightly lower than your maximum Energy Shield.
Found two now, but it takes so long to farm the more rare runes in SSF that I really don't think I'm going to make any use of the weapon unless I see a SSF friendly example of something very powerful to use it for.
Do runes stack, eg, can you craft 3 runes granting you extra chaos damage based on 4 % of your max life for total of 12% ? Or do all 3 runes have to be different?
I was excited about this hammer, but playing the game a whole lot the first month, I can SSF one big enchant at most and even then I'm short some runes. Just buying the big ones for this weapon would cost dozens of divines. It's the dumbest part of the league. I wish runecrafting were made much more available and therefore fun.
Are you sure it can't be bricked into a rare with three enchantments? That is exactly how Stranglegasp works, using the exact same verbiage. "Can have 3 additional Enchantment Modifiers"
Opened my league start hoping for the vaal soul one on my double striker and my god it is a slog to get to, to a point of me going yeah I'll be in red and downing atlas bosses before testing this for fun... I was right, the gold requirements for these makes me feel like I am the town atm. The hammer has some amusement things you can do though the triggers, the burst skills, I just am losing the will to farm for the town.
Thinking of trying Trigger fire spell on hit + Battlemage + Fire Burst on hit with either detonate dead of cascade or firestorm of meteors. Still trying to plan this out because it costs so much currency I want to make sure I have everything right before I try it. Anyone else have a better combo?
I just tested this. If you use a Tempering Orb and then rune enchant, you lose the tempering orb enchant. If you use a Tempering Orb after runesmithing, you lose all the runesmithing enchants. Did you honestly expect anything else?
@@megadeth116 Considering there are no mods that work that way, and never have been, no it does not work that way. That's why they have the mods that say "all gems" instead of "socketed gems"
oh god how i hate.. GGG for adding ANYTHING that MELEE dreams of to spells..., hp to spells? no problem.. get 4% max hp as spell dlg.. but no.. fff melee and phys dmg... xd i want to remind: summon spectral wolves are source of flat dmg that scale well. it's mini abyssus, and they are often atacked by enemies so also a mini defensive laayer.
@@francobuzzetti9424 Yeah it's because of the wording on the mace, the one modifier that allows an enchantment is the first, then an additional two from the second mod
