Another video calls out a 21mm socket for the crank bolt. My sets at home top out at 19mm. Math suggests a 13/16 might fit (old spark plug's size, which I have). Will it fit?

question about the tensioner pulley bolt- I didn’t realize there was a dummy bolt underneath which would explain why I couldn’t get the belt on without using a pair of pliers. The bolt in the middle of that pulley what happens if it becomes loose from using that to take off the belt? Because I’d made the mistake of using that bolt in the middle of the tensioner pulley and it had came loose🤕 I’d sense gave it a snug but should I now just replace the whole tensioner? And would this cause the car on a ford focus to rev a bit higher, shifting issues, or even cause the idle to shake a bit when shifting? thanks.

I'm not sure what all went down but I wouldn't think you would have to replace the whole tensioner because you loosened the bolt. You should be able to take a 14mm wrench to the back side of the pulley, like shown in the video, and then use a socket to tighten the bolt up more if needed. Use the 14mm wrench in the back side as counter force for tightening the pulley. I don't think this would affect your idle or shifting.

@@BarboursAutoHelp alright I forgot to mention-it’s a 2015 focus 2.L flex fuel auto with a 5 speed manual transmission, so it’s ran by a computer. If that alt isn’t get the correct voltage it slipping because of it this could be the problem not having the correct voltage. I’ll get a voltage drop when starting the car then it will jump back up to 14.3 when In D (without moving) then drop back down too 13.2 when accelerating and stay there
