The filter that you added actually cleaned up the song because the extreme high end of the frequency range isn't that audible to the human ear so when you get rid of it everything sound cleaner and more polished
Im sure he makes his own sounds but the point of his channel is to take the requests and such. Plus taking someones sound and adding/subtracting characteristics from it creates your own sound. Hence why its not a wav file its a patch that we can change however we please..
Could you actually play what you're making after every step or every few steps? You're explaining what it does but I need to hear the sound to know what you're talking about. Thanks! Love your vids!
Hey guys, took a lot of time out from making videos for a while for a variety of personal & professional reasons which I will explain in my next video. Yesterday I finished my new website so it no longer looks like it was made in MS Paint :) I've also finished and uploaded a new 'Future' pack that you guys might be interested in: synthhacker.com/ Thanks for the continued support and yes there's gonna be tonnes of new content this year! Peace x
All the indivdual layers of the Illenium synth are included in the pack, but I'm actually working on a illenium synth layering tutorial right now, excited to get some more videos out!
These are my favorite serum tuts on youtube. Thanks so much, these have given me tons of new sounds and given me a better understanding of serum. Will be purchasing some of your stuff soon to show my appreciation. I have no doubt they/re completely worth every cent.
Great tutorial. I improvised and added an LFO that modulates the levels of osc A and B and it like pulses, kinda like it has sidechain. it sounds so sick. Thanks again for the tutorial.
Hey Tom, I just bought the All-In-One pack from your site. I just want to say thank you for these amazing tutorials and the amazing pack! You're awesome!
Thank you so much for your Serum tutorials. They have given me a much deeper understanding of not only the software itself, but also in sound creation in a broader sense. I am purchasing the Serum Mega Pack on your site and can't wait to spend hours tinkering with your presets! I'll throw a link your way if I end up making something worthy of posting. lol
Thanks so much! this was the most useful tutorial I could find regarding supersaw. exactly what I was trying to learn after listetning to Skrux-Escapade
Hey man, love your tutorials c: I do have one suggestion though. If you're still doing these anyway, could you maybe play the sound every now and then while it's still being created? I think it would really help people to understand what exactly is happening, because words can only explain so much, ya know? Just a thought, but anyway these are great, I find these very useful. Thanks :D
Should have a look at Wheathin's flip on Falling by Opia, sick tune and would really appreciate someone doing a good tutorial for it. Thanks for being awesome!
Why the filter polishes sound? Well, low pass filters actually litterally polish sound. The lower the lowcut the more polished. That's how you get low frequencies with it, cause it rounds the sharp waves.
Hey as no one gave you a reply yet, I thought I'd give it a shot. In Massive, you turn on two Osc - make them both Saw waves. Make one -12. Let the other stay at 0. Go to Voicing and turn that to 7. Click on Env 4 (I believe this is the one that controls the volume envelope of the final output). Turn up the attack to 1 second or so. Now put on an EQ in the FX section of Massive. Mirror what he's doing in this video - cut out the low end. Now that's your sound, the extra "juice" of it was the OTT - which is a free plugin. Just google OTT Xfer. Download that and put it onto the sound you just created in Massive. Hope that helps, that's why videos are way better than this ha.
Hey, great tutorial! One little suggestion, you could have played a note or a chord after every effect so that we can hear the difference rather than hearing the complete sound😁. Anyways thank you!
PLEASE do a tutorial on Tarro's future bass saw in Califormula. It's a really good sound but I can't quite figure out how to make it. It would be a huge help if u could help out on this endeavor, it's a very unique and powerful sound which I am sure will garner a lot of attention!!!!
would you be interested in making any sort of chord or arp sounds by Medasin perchance? he makes some pretty trippy textures that i personally would love to see remade :)
It seem like I do everything exactly the same and yet yours sounds better... do you have something on the insert? Or whats going on.. i know that you have like a loop underneath it but the synth itself
dude your work is awesome love your the way you explain things nice and precise, i have a question, when your playing those cards, are you using a midi keyboard or musical typing on the laptop? i have everything set up the way you explained in the video, but it doesnt sound the same, if your using a midi keyboard i understand, im about to go try out my 49 key and see if it ends up sounding the same. musical typing on the laptop only lets you use a few keys and i i watch you keys push down it seems like your using a midi keyboard
Hey Tom, what did you use for the 808/bass on this track? Really clean sound, I've followed your Massive 808 kick tutorial but haven't hit a mix that clean with it yet. Would really appreciate some insight!
Thanks for the video! Constructive feedback: it would be much more helpful if you could play more while you explain things. For instance, you did a good job explaining the voices part, but why not play a note while demonstrating the difference between 0 voices and 7? If you could do that whenever you change something, it would be huge. Thanks!
