Service AdvanceTrac Message Causes and Fixes 

Well here I am, my light just came on and my wheel is now tighter when driving . We didn’t ask for this computer bullshit. What happened to a good old fashioned 4 tires and an engine.

I have a S550 Mustang that I take to autocross. I set it on Track mode and about 50% of the time I get service advanced track. Once I restart the car, the code clears. I have no idea what it is. I really like how the car drives with advanced Trac. Guess I’ll need to scan it while it in error

My Advance Trac service light came on and hill decent fault got trigger shutting down abs stability amd traction control going to go clean up the battery and check the fuses before i take it to mechanic and get raped by my wallet. lol

I’m backkkkk, I just paid $1400 to have my rack and pinion replaced and guess what, same fucking issues 2 weeks later . My messages just popped back up tonight . So it’s not the rack and pinion

Thanks man. I have a similar problem with my 2017 but it’s not the shift bushing it’s more complicated than that. Your video is the first one that has steered me down the path of figuring it out. It happens to my car when it’s very humid like foggy and or raining. But otherwise it’s fine. Anyways I appreciate that advice and I will read thru the comments and maybe add a fix here if I figure it out.

My 2014 Utility Interceptor has this problem too. I'm thinking it's because my wheel is not aligned perfectly, and the steering wheel sits a little to the left. But my car drives perfectly fine other than that.

2017 Ford Fusion. Mine came on a couple times but then went away. I recently got new tires that they said were slightly a different size the my old ones. Could that be what made it do that?

Mine usually pops up when I brake and I feel grinding in the pedal and or turn hard left or when it’s wet

What if there are no codes displayed after a scan? While driving home from the store in gusty conditions today, abs light came on, service advanceTrac, pre collision assist not available, hill start not available, check park aid. I cleaned windshield and collision sensors, did a scan with no codes, started 2019 Ranger got all the error messages, drove around block, steering didnt feel right. Parked in drive rescan with no codes.

This feature cause more danger than safety. Service AdvanceTrac turned on and locked my steering wheel. This shit is dangerous asF

How expensive are these things to fix?

I had this issue Random shut down P0320 there's a wire harness that rests on top of the Front RH valve cover The wire can rub through and ground on the valve cover bolt .Will throw a crank sensor code . Hope this helps

i'm 9 months into trying to fix my advance trac, its' a shitty warning light,, started with limp mode issue 1 year ago, then I've replaced the following. throttle body, ecm, wheel speed sensors, instrument cluster, 4x4 control module, the only other code I get is fuel level sensor, it'll eventually cause my car to not start

My Edge doesn’t show any codes because it turned off when I went to the car guy (happened twice). Only that service advance light turns on. I can hear a noise in the back of my car and had to go fast.

I have a Dodge grand caravan. My throttle control light comes on a half a second before the traction control light comes on. I've already replaced the throttle body and a map sensor that O'Reilly's suggested I replace from the codes they read. It's still reading the same map sensor codes, and both the lights keep turning on after I drive or let it idle for a little while. I'm wondering if I have a wheel speed or traction control sensor that is dirty and not making a good connection or needs to be replaced. Could this be causing my throttle control light to be coming on and flashing? Sometimes my vehicle goes into limp mode on the highway. Please help!

2015 expedition my light came on but Is no throwing any codes, speed goes fast and cruise control works fine as well any help please??

Having similar issues with my 2017 Ford Fusion. Starts when turning the battery on: flashing warning signs, check engine, power steering, ABS, and hill assist disabled. I USED to be able to unplug the battery and let it sit before re plugging it in and the car going back to “normal”. Now, however, the last time I did that it wouldn’t reset.

Just got 16 navigator back from dealer for recall of brake booster pump, service wrench symbol came on and advance trac light comes on then goes away. Pulled neg cable to try to reset, but light still comes on, back to that dealer monday, car ran perfect before they touched it

DETACH YOUR BATTERY CABLE FOR 60 SECONDS AND REATTACH. EVERYTHING WILL RESET INCLUDING THE ADVANCE TRAC MESSAGE. I’M NOT SAYING YOU SHOULDN’T GET IT CHECKED OUT. THERE COULD BE AN UNDERLYING PROBLEM, BUT IT WILL GET YOU ON YOUR WAY.

Would replacing the air ride system with springs cause it???????

Thank you for the video and info. I've been struggling with this issue for the past year on my 2021 Ranger. First trip to dealer a year ago under warranty they scanned and found code C003A but didn't find a problem when an electrical diagnostic was run. For some reason they replaced a rear wheel speed sensor, cleared the codes and called it good...which it wasn't. Problem came right back....fortunately I didn't pay anything. The issue comes and goes but never stops from driving. Lately it's happening a lot, so took it took it to dealer for oil change and diagnostic, but this time bumper to bumper is gone. They want $175 just to try and figure out what's wrong...and for which I told them No!...and which thanks to you seems to be an OBC scan and some possible very easy fixes. Feeling a bit dumb because I have a scanner and should have thought of this, but really appreciate the the guidance here to get me thinking straight on this issue.

I’m having an issue with it showing only when I am slow almost to a stop and have the steering wheel turned way to the left or right. Ill have to try the scanner and refer to this video!

My codes are bad o2 sensor and bad map sensors does this even make sense. car will run fine for about a minute then as soon as lights come on its starts to sputter and run bad

I'm purchasing two 2012 f150s with service advance track issues, and the trucks won't steer at all. I haven't had a chance to diagnose them fully yet. Just wondering if these two trucks might need a new rack and pinion or if it might be an easier fix potentially. Thanks

I have these issues with ford 2016 wildtrak ranger. intermittent loss of power steering. whenever I turn the wheel to the right or left, it pushes back to center real quick. I recently changed my upper arm bushings and shocks. Do i need an alignment and do i need to reprogram the steering sensor?

Thanks for this video; straight to the point. I have 2011 Econoline Van E350 with the AdvanceTrac error but no ODB2 codes. I have two possibilities: (1) two new tires on rear, front tires worn and need replace, (2) front left inner rotor area picked up a stray piece of metal off the road and was making sounds as it rotated around or sometimes got lodged, I thought brakes/caliper issue I since removed but perhaps it messed up the sensor. (I have no codes). Anything else I may have missed? thanks.

When service Advance trac system message comes on along with multiple other warning lights and all gauges shut off, and I put tranny in reverse there is a weird clunking in the rear. when Service advance warning is not showing there is no clunking. Can the computer system cause mechanical things to happen? Ford is saying its my transmission. never have had any problems until today. I am thinking its the Ford computer causing the problem. PLANNED OBSTILEANCE!
