Service Reset Mini Cooper R52 

Hello, The test you did was an instrument cluster self test to check all the gages. You could not have caused any problems by running this test but it is strange some of the gages no longer respond. In the workshop it would mean the instrument cluster is bad but just keep an eye on it and as long as the gages are working during normal operation you should not have any problems.

A Mini instrument cluster has the vehicle coding stored as a program. To prevet mileage fraud the VIN is also written to the instrument cluster. A used cluster will work if it is the same part number but the coding or options of the other vehicle if different can cause problems. There is a company called RPM motorsport that may be able to program the cluster by sending it to them. If you google this you should get their website. I have used them before and they are very helpful.

Josh, you are entering the cluster test steps. Make sure the engine is off during the reset.

Hello, Your Mini has stored an airbag fault due to a malfunction on one of the airbag systems. The only way to remove the warning is to have the airbag code scanned and repair the problem. Then the airbag code needs to be cleared for the light to go off. Once the system does a good self check with no more problems the light will remain off. I hope this helps :)

Hello, Did you use a new or used instrument cluster? Did you have the vehicle programmed after replacement of the new cluster?

I tried this multiple times , my speedo keeps saying "1 test" than pressing the button cycles through numbers 0 1 5 10 and i think 15, any ideas? What are those tests ? How do I activate the tests but more importantly how come It's not reseting ? :(

You are in the cluster test steps. Try again with the engine off but key on.

hi I had to replace the cluster on my 2006 mini cooper s and since I replaced it my DSC light, TPSensor light and Airbag light are always on what must I do fix this issue before the replacement my DSC light would only turn on when I would push the DSC button and my TP sensor light and airbag light were always off. Please help.
