Very informative and thanks for creating this video, do you have a videos using Flow Designer? say Dev A has API and Dev B called the API then will create same incident on both? keep it up! thanks
Hi David, It will always make more sense to go with Integration Hub and use Flows. They are great in maintainability and will surely help the future developers. But if you don't have Integration Hub, you can use REST Integration. I hope it answers your question. Let me know if you have further questions. Thanks, Hardit Singh
Now if I want to close incident on A instance if incident on instance B is closed. How can I do that. Do I need to use same thing like created business rule on instance B also and use outbound integartion or is there any other method to make it bidirectional. Thanks
Why I couldn't get the description value in the incident, I've tried with both REST API Explorer and manually , While checking with the payload I can see the description as empty string.why? how could I fetch the value,Also I tried both static and dynamically
Hi Shilpi, Then the user without ITIL role will have to login in Service Portal and create an incident from there. They will access to only couple of fields like Urgency and Short Description. Let me know if you have further questions. Thanks, Hardit Singh
Hi Tushar, I am working on it. Will post it soon. I was busy for last month preparing for a certification. Thanks for all your comments and questions. Thanks again!
Hardit Paaji, I really liked the video but i believe its outdated now. People like me get nervous when scripts are included. I try to achieve things in much simpler or No-code way. Request you to please continue these series via Flow Designer 'Integration Hub', Where we create an Action & trigger via Flow designer with minimal scripts. Request you to show demo of Bi-Directional REST Integration from Flow Designer. Thank you.
Hi Naveen, Thanks for your comment. I don't believe, its outdated. SN came up with flow designer and integration hub, it came up with low code option. If you're having very complicated scenario, we can go with either approach . Also don't get stressed, it's not that complicated 😀
@@HarditSingh We had integration with this approach but now they want us to use Flow Designer. I have successfully completed UNI-DIRECTIONAL OUTBOUND REST integration via Flow but I'm not sure how to proceed with BI-DIRECTIONAL. Demo/Guidance on this would be really helpful.
@@naveenkumar8879 Yes, that's the way forward. Also, integration hub is not available in PDIs , so at this point it won't be possible for me to make a video. Thanks for sharing your experience 🙏
