I work in the logistics industry and we’re seeing freight volumes revert to pre-pandemic figures of 2018-2019. The crazy 10-20x freight costs are gone and the steamship lines who profited mightily from constrained capacity are adjusting appropriately with vessel retirements and crew reductions. I can’t speak to actual data but multiple women in my circle of friends have left high paying jobs to become SAHM with school aged kids and they’re enjoying “retirement”. That doesn’t reflect that they’re feeling uneasy with the economy. It’s anecdotal but I don’t think it’s uncommon.

Trump spent 10trillion of that debt. What a shame. Good part is the economy is turning now and we should have a strong 2024. China on the other hand is screwed since all the manufacturing is leaving.
