I like this system a lot and am trying to figure out how to incorporate your conduit top bars with my t-post supports. Would you happen to know if the elbows you have are available as reducers, so to speak? One end large enough to fit over the t-post top (not sure what size that would be) and the other sized for the conduit. Looking forward to your updates on how this new trellising works out for you. Thanks for a great video!
Hello- I've really enjoyed watching your videos. I am wrapping up year 2 of my backyard garden and am excited to keep developing this skill. How did this method turn out for you through that season? Did you do it again this year? I'm very intrigued because virtually any other trellis method for winter squash seems to be much more heavy duty than the string method you used for your acorn/butternut. I'm considering planting some delicata squash next year and am trying to decide on a support system. Thanks for any input you can provide!
There was too much weight for the leaning system. This year I stayed with the upright rack. It worked much better. I actually ran posts across to another rack that I had set up for peas and trained the plants across and down the other side as they grew longer. Worked out pretty well. Created a tunnel that I could walk through. Thanks for watching.
This is awesome, I found your channel looking for trellis ideas. What kind of squash will you be growing? I'm growing sugar baby watermelons. I love your channel, new subscriber
I'm growing butternut and acorn squash. Also a long-necked pumpkin that's actually a squash but makes great pumpkin pie. I'll be doing a garden update this weekend. Thanks for subscribing.
