Yeah, this was a very good interview. Clearly very well prepared but also relaxed so it didn’t “feel” prepped. Just felt like 2 people having a nice conversation.
I really love the fact that Seth truly protects and cares for his staff to the point that he would refuse to accept certain guests who were only nice to him but rude to everyone else. He's not out there to please people, but Seth is certainly out there to protect his own. What a class act.
Great Interview with Seth. He is the best current late night host by far. The relaxed vibe of the show is so good. The way he appreciates his writers and the crew on the show.
Connor O’Malley was so funny on the show this week. It’s great how supportive Seth is of his writers. It’s a trait that is picked up from Tina and Lorne I think. It’s amazing how much of the American comedy media stems from Studio 8H.
Thanks for this! Appreciate the interview direction, not asking the same generic “hey you have a show!” type questions. Heard some interesting new stuff. Jackal approved 🐾
When Letterman retired, I was adrift. He was the North Star of talk shows. And I've seen hundreds off Carsons. Seth and Co. grew on me quickly. His innovation and peer behind the scenes was an improvement and refreshing.
really appreciated that you'd also clearly read/watched lots of his previous interviews and anticipated the answer to get more in depth insights with your questions!
3:02 The interviewer's response to Seth's footing joke reminds me of Mort Sahl being worried that his first audience at Berkley would just nod and say "that's funny" after every joke.
Great interview, I appreciate the interviewer letting him complete each question before asking the next. I think there could’ve been more time talking about corrections but thats just the jackal in me. Again Great interview.
I'm one of those who really loved the pandemic era of the show and I'm glad that energy has stayed. I came for the attic, but I stayed for Corrections 😜
He did take another 2-week hiatus a little after this interview and will miss some some key developments, but at least he'll be back for the Sept. 10th debate (if it happens) and will have a prime-time special on the 11th. He also won't miss the September 18th sentencing hearing in NYC.
I'm so glad that Seth calls out those "they're nice to me" types as purely transactional. I would add egocentric since they don't care how those types treat others, as long as they're "nice to me"! 🤨
Ooohhhh watch the online only “correction” on his channel. Unfortunately you have to start at episode one of corrections and watch them all the way through to episode 110 🫣😂
