I subscribe to dozens of TT channels and PechPong is clearly #1 in terms of quality content. What a great tip on using sidespin on the return. I've never done that intentionally and will definitely practice it today!!
@@PechPongTT I notice you are at the Samson Dubina Academy quite a bit, Are you a local? im just north about 40 minutes. im almost 30- had about 8+years exp passionate about TT with a friend(s), didn't go too much to clubs, never competed ,but we trained hard. and then we lost regular access to a table, college, marriage, other things. we kind of fell out of it and had probably close to a 10 year hiatus. i just got reinvigorating with my TT passion. and would like to head down to the Academy soon. if you're local maybe ill see you there absolutely love the content. the match breakdown of strategy is fantastic, and the end tips are great as well. after my hiatus i see many of the channels i looked to for educational content have ceased creating. so i'm very happy to see new great channels such as yours pop up since then (Edit) - i dont know how i commented this twice but ill just leave it so maybe youll see it :p
Thanks for the video's! A suggestion...can you do a video of "day in the life of Seth" from getting up first thing in the morning, to going off to the training facility, etc... Keep the video's coming. I enjoy your occasional equipment reviews, too.
Great Video Seth. Greats from Germany. Great Content from you that help every player who is interested in tactics in game play against different styles of player. Good idea to make a tutorial with the two tricky returns that help every player to get better in player better pushes against any type of serves. Hope you make more with these content. Thanks a lot.!!! :)
Great games and good tips at the end but now you "force" me to watch all of your matches to pick up those tips at the end . Your videos are full of information, thanks Seth.
In the future, if you wanna kill that “flicker” from the light behind you, mess around with your shutter speed on your camera until it minimizes or goes away. Love your videos!
Thanks for the tip, one of my subscribers asked to have the video in 60fps for smoother points, then I made the project in 60 so I was stuck to film the other part in 60. I’m really new to this video stuff, but I think 30fps is a great speed to have matches and commentary in future videos
Randomly stumbled upon your channel recently and I got super impressed with the tutorials I seen so thanks a lot for that and keep them coming ! :) (coming from someone who paid for TDD academy vids) Was also wondering which equipment are you using and if you have any tips on that. I like to play with offensive spins and I like the dignics 09c a lot and I started using hurricane 3 national blue sponge recently and I'm having a hard time between selecting the too (boosted both and gonna lock 09c for backhand side)
hey thanks for the compliments on the videos, I personally like Dignics 09c I use a similar rubber Tibhar K3 and enjoy it. but i have played and would easily play with dignics. as for the hurricane I feel its hard to use it unless your technique is really good (chinese good) go with dignics is simple, modern and effective.
In your next video, if you talk about playing against anti, could you go over the differences with playing against long pips? Seems to me that there are several similarities.
Cool! That serve return kinda looks like the stroke that Truls Moregard does sometimes with his backhand, allthough he goea up more on the side of it, kinda like the backhand serve movement that darko jorgic does. I am closing in on my first year of playing table tennis now. Played my first league match last week. Hoping on following your videos in the next years to come as well. Allthough I havent met people playing seriously with anti, I think I could handle it quite well, because one of my training partners a couple of months back played with a racket that had lost most of its grip. He was stubborn about getting better gear because he was used to playing with it, haha! I played vs a short pimple player in the club and his playing style kinda resembled anti. I was able to adapt quite quickly to it, so much so that he was impressed :). I use every bit of positive feedback I get as motivation. Yesterday I met a guu that had played for years in a club and I said I was a beginner. He told me that I was definately not a beginner :))) ;P
That’s awesome! I hope your learning curve is fast as well as hope my videos can help you continue learning about the game! Where are you from? Also yes Truls uses many interesting serve returns and this like you said he uses one similar to these
@@PechPongTT I am from Oslo, Norway. Got maybe 250 videos of me playing on my channel, hehe -- its mostly a training log for my own use, but I get a comment every now and then with some feedback.
I used to do these serve returns when I was a basement player (at a low level and without understanding the spin 😀). Time to refine them and put them back in my arsenal!
Hi coach, you mentioned many times regarding your notebook; I am wondering what type of information I should write on it? Is there any common strucker to index the notebook?
That’s a great question! I have sections, like drills I want to do, a skills section of skills I want to develop or continue to improve, a match analysis section containing tactics I can use and tactics my opponents use against me and how I should respond to them. A section for match reviews what did well what I did wrong what I need to work on after the match. A section about things I see other high level players do that I want to try.
That's some nice rallies! Can you please share what FH rubber you're using right now? I've watched one of your previous videos where you said you contemplated using Tibhar K3 - have you settled on that or something else?
@@PechPongTT Interesting thanks! You mentioned that the topsheet of K3 is quite soft allowing good grip from all different contacts and thin angles - would you say it's even soften and better in this regard compared to Dignics 09c, Hurricanes or Stiga Dragon Grip?

That’s great that your getting back into it now again! Yes I go to samsons club regularly so I will see you there soon hopefully! Yeah I watched a couple channels growing up as well I’m glad that I can add to the collection of knowledge shared :)
It’s a bit of a long story but I signed up for a three month program and paid a bit of money for that in Falkenberg then someone there saw me and asked if I wanted to play for their team, I did alright and then from there other teams were Interested In having me play for them.
Well hopefully I am a good source of that, I watched some of William Henzel’s channel and learned from it also Enzo Angles is making good videos in French translated to English I believe. Hope that helps!
Hi Seth, how should I respond to that side swipe return of my opponent does it to me? My thinking is that I should contact the ball more on the side when it is coming down from its peak. Let me know what you think.
I would try to anticipate the movement, and aim a little more left or right depending on where the ball wants to go when it touches your racket. Then I would try to drive through it much like a clean underspin push. I try not to change too much about my angles and contact points when they do this.
I should do a collaboration with PeakPerformanceTableTennis to develop a great routine, I have currently only done exercises that I have learned over the years from other table tennis players and coaches. that being said I like to do full body workouts squats, shoulder raises, lots of body weight core exercises, lightweight back exercises to stay balanced and I also do like to ride my bike and do sprints when I get a chance as well as lots of frog and Kangaroo jumps to develop spring in my legs.
I’m moving to Stockholm next month, not sure what club to join. I don’t know if that’s where you were in Sweden but do you have any recommendations for a good club in Stockholm?
Hello yes I looked at the blade of the first one he uses an offensive stiga blade with Stiga platinum rubbers. It is hard to remember to take down their equipment because I’m so focused on playing the match but I will try!
